    yes I was refering to the dropper length, sorry haha. I start with mine a little over a foot long.

    So is it safe to say mono is best for moving baits (power fishing) when the cover isn't serious enough for braid and when the fish aren't spooked enough to need fluro? and for worm fishing, jig fishing and rigging fluro or braid with a leader is best?

    Am I the only one who feels like largemouth are more predictable than smallmouth? ex. "hey that fallen tree looks like largemouth heaven (makes a few casts) BLAM! fights on" ex. "hey this rockpile looks like smallmouth heaven (makes a few casts, switches through 40 baits and decides to go home)"

    I think the format is great, makes things a little more interesting. the lead can be stolen at any point, i like the twists and turns.

    I fish for smallmouth 99% of the time and live up north where the waters colder. the waters always clear and thanks to what you guy's said I've decided to set up my two spinning set-up's with drop shot rigs at diffrent leader lengts. one shorter and one longer. hopefully this makes the trial and error process a little easier.

    was the line wrapped around your rod tip? I dont get how line could snap anywhere on the cast without it's flight through the air being stopped abruptlly. Even if it was I dont think the braid should have snapped though... maybe you got a bad spool. idk, I'll have to see with mine.

    I guess but I've had worse braid than this stren.

    I ushually make my drop shot leader about a foot and a half long, how about you? I ushually use a drop shot for when fish are feeding just above the ground. if they're feeding any higher in the water column I feel a crankbait or other lure is more effective or makes more sence to use.

    I do the best I can with what I can afford. Marketing schemes arent what make fishing great and never will be. I've seen anglers get their backside handed to them in tourneys with 400$ combos against anglers with less pricy equipment such as boats, rods & reels. 99.9 percent of fishing rods fish better than the fisherman using them. To me if you're skilled you can be a great angler with ANY equipment available.

    i recieved one and didn't even request it. I'm guessing they send it to all of their customers. i also got the 2015 spring angler catalog.
