  1. Justin, thanks for the welcome. I recently watched a video where Greg Hackney says he remembers missing only 2 fish all of last season. He is solid, I'd like to say our geographical proximity is helping me.
  2. Shaneus, got it, thanks for the input. I'll be arriving there this coming Thursday for practice and a kayak tournament on Saturday.
  3. Fanatic and shaneus, Are you willing to say what depth the fish are coming out of? The overnight temps are supposed to be lower this week, maybe the fish will move up? Thanks!
  4. Sam, thanks for the welcome. Yes, I enjoy inshore fishing from here in LA to FL. What Lousiana baits are you speaking of? The Tigers definitely need some help. I'll be fishing in Mississippi on Friday, I'll need to probably yell "go State" there. Cheers!
  5. Darren has the solution nailed, of course I'm bias, but either in a current or wind the Hobie Mirage line of kayaks are great. I don't have much experience in freshwater (river) currents, but have experienced currents while inshore saltwater fishing (specks, reds, flounder). Also, nosing into the wind and lightly pumping the Mirage drive to stay in position is a good tactic and you can do it hands free. The only drawback to the Hobie line is the $$. Any kayak choice you make will be good, it is a great way to fish...enjoy!!
  6. I have not used the FC Sniper, but am a true believer in the Sunline Super Flouro. Last weekend I made the switch and the results were impressive. I'm awaiting a shipment from TW with more Sunline Flouro in other lb. test and the FX2 braid. Can't wait to replace the P-Line copolymer and Power Pro.
  7. Thanks for the welcome!
  8. Another new forum member as well. This thread is highly informative for me and thanks are in order to all that are contributing. Having never fished Toledo Bend I'm trying to soak up as much as possible. Are there any transition to Fall techniques that are working better than others? What is the current water temperature and has it dropped enough to push the bass and bait up shallow? Thanks!
  9. Hello Bass Resource Members, I've been lurking and now have joined. Thanks for all of the informative topics and input and I look forward to contributing. Cheers, LAkayakbass
