  1. Agreed. The sellers always think they can recover that money spent, but most times that's never the case.
  2. I have had no issues with exchanging tackle @ BPS.
  3. I have a feeling that these rigs won't see too much slime and you wipe these babies down when you are down.
  4. Yeah, I think I paid $70 online from Walmart for the micro guide version. Well worth it.
  5. I think the Veritas is a tank of a rod. I don't see how people break them.
  6. I wouldn't call a No. *** a junk rod. I agree with a BlackMax reel. I cannot stand the way a cheap $30 rod feels though.
  7. Fluoro for sure if you want some decent sink. I don't feel I need more than 12# fluoro fishing it weightless. I will go down to 10# fluoro and a M/M rod when using an octopus hook and no weight.
  8. Instead of "Don't touch my drums" these guys are like "DON'T TOUCH MY FISHING POLES!"
  9. I don't completely palm a reel or switch hands to retrieve and a low profile reel is still by far more comfortable from my experience. The lower they sit on the reel the better.
  10. If you are just starting out then opt for some soft "XL" mono over fluoro and buy some KVD L&L. Keep your brakes and spool tension set high then back it off as you get comfortable casting.
  11. Lews LFS. Browning Superlite for $89 at BPS has been good for me so far.
  12. It was funny as heck. I always walk around WM seeing reels with missing tension knobs haha.
  13. Don't forget Seaguar Senshi in this too
  14. 12-15# Yo-Zuri Hybrid would do fine too.
  15. Haha you even got me beat. That's a $200 reel you're trying to rig.
  16. I found the BPS to work just fine, but its super oily compared to the KVD.
  17. Exactly what Tom said.. a top quality siC guide from Mudhole fixes the issue. Its quick and easy.
  18. Spray some KVD on the line and guides and wipe them out after each trip. Maybe that will help. Has worked for me so far.
  19. A lot of people will say this: It would go nicely with the MB. http://www.***.com/No8_Tackle_Co_BlackOut_Casting_Rods/descpage-NER.html
  20. You guys hatin again?? My stealth is still rockin n rollin and was $45. If you're spending $80 on the ProMax then the LFS is in that price range on Ebay.
  21. 1 rod for me...the others just get caught up in the limbs and cause havoc, but I fish some tight places. Usually a 6'6"-6'9" M/MH rod. I do some retying that's for sure.
  22. I personally don't feel comfortable with 10# line texas rigging anything. I try to go as low as possible and have went thru the 10# line phase and it has let me down too much. I like 12/15# Seaguar fluoro for light T-rigging. 12# Seaguar is as thin as most 10#
  23. If you're throwing one T-rigged with a heavy gauge hook then maybe a MH might be better, but I get away with a 6'9" M for this method also.
  24. Haha, I don't know what you're talking about.
  25. Heck yeah it would especially if you rig them wacky style. I don't see a problem.
