Here's what I learned on. I used a spinning rod. 4-inch finesse worm, weightless with a 2/0 EWG. Hula Popper Lipless Crankbait 1/8 oz. spinnerbait. Those'll cover the basics. Senkos are good as well.

Some of my favorite soft plastics This is the majority of my tackle. I keep extra soft plastics and 8 or 9 hardbaits at home. It isn't that much, but I'm still collecting

1. They were a dollar a pack. 2. They are Green Pumpkin and Watermelon Red 3. They are worms Yup, sounds pretty good to me.

On a custom rod or a nice G. Loomis or St. Croix, definitely cork. Beneath that price range, I like EVA. Not that I have one of those nice rods, but their cork jobs are awesome.
