  1. I thought ya'll would like it. I hope it's not too pricey, 'cause I'm picking one up, WAY too cool not to try.
  2. I would try braid. I switched to it on my casting setup recently, and I love it! And I would be throwing a spinnerbait, frog, bladed jig, and t-rigged plastics.
  3. I need me one of these!!
  4. I personally prefer wacky, but I've caught plenty of fish on a texas-rigged senko. I usually throw chatterbaits with a small swimbait as a trailer. I experiment with waking it, similar to a buzzbait, or swimming it a little deeper.
  5. Haven't seen him post for a while. You still trolling around, Hootie?
  6. I would definitely try a chatterbait, swim jig, and a lipless crankbait. And, of course, a senko
  7. So......you don't wacky rig?
  8. Red Eye shad, Rat'L Trap, and the Super Spot.
  9. If you have a significant other, I'd suggest not lol! My little bro is in to legos, I have a hate thing going on with them that will never die......I've stepped on so many of those stupid little bricks.
  10. Chillin' out, not working , reading, shooting hoops, etc. etc.
  11. I would put a very small swimbait or baby chunk on that sucker.
  12. s I've always wanted to see you put out a Cut'R worm with flanges on either end for wacky rigging.......
  13. Nice fish!! That's one you'll never forget.
  14. I will say, though, the saddest fishing memory I have is of my Grandpa, who taught me how to fish, brought home his personal best, a 7 1/2 pounder, from the lake where he had caught it. I remember watching it swim around a metal trash can. Even though I had been told not to touch it, I leaned down and picked it up by the gills. I was so little, I couldn't lift it, but it was such a huge fish, I couldn't resist. I got in trouble for it later. He wanted to eat it, but my Grandma was tired and didn't feel like filleting + frying it. So, what happened to that gorgeous bass? Grandpa cut it up and buried it in his tomato beds for fertilizer. The next morning, we discovered that neighborhood cats had dug up and eaten it. 7 years later, I caught one slightly bigger than that . It's still swimming around somewhere in that pond, eluding me. I've had her on once after that, but she shook the hook. I have every expectation of catching her again sometime in the future. So, I do agree with you. I don't like the practice, but, that said, I think it's easy to be too far on the side of only C & R.
  15. Fish it with t-rigged plastics and jigs around the cover. Buzzbaits and frogs are awesome baits, pretty weedless, and if you throw them you should find out if there's bass in there.
  16. To each his own. Obviously, if it's illegal to keep fish, than illegal activity should not continue. But, some people don't see catch and release in the same light as we do. To some people, fish = food. In the end, people have been keeping fish for decades, and the bass are still here.
  17. LOVE popper bassing, so much fun.
  18. ^ You're lucky you got 2-day. I have to wait until next Tuesday....
  19. Yup, a staple in my bag. I fish it more than Black and Blue.
  20. If that's a Rage swimbait, I've been waiting for one to come out for a while now!
  21. Have you tried wacky rigging a 5-inch stickbait?
  22. Pretty much a popper retrieve, pop pop, let it sit, pop pop, etc, etc. Sometimes I'll reel it back in when I feel like I've been retrieving it regularly for a while.
  23. I have some of them in chartreuse/green pumpkin. Got them in a ziplock bag, have no idea what the brand is.
  24. Those are some nice bass. WTG!
