  1. At work we start at 7:30....if we get complaints (which rarely ever happens), we tell them, sorry, you wouldn't want to be mowing in the late afternoon either!
  2. Work is the big one. I still manage to get out, though.
  3. I would be flipping vegetation.
  4. Love it! Super sensitive. Landed about 10 fish on it, all on texas rigs. Used it today in thick (ish) vegetation. Pulled in a huge snapping turtle, which broke my hook later. Also hooked a big 4 pounder, and was horsing it in over the vegetation when the hook popped out. Nothing I could do, but the rod handled the bigger bass well. Very happy with it so far. Took a little while to get used to the smaller butt and small trigger, but I'm adjusted now. I'll put up a full first impressions review later this next week.
  5. caught a couple flipping this afternoon.....had 4-5 other bites that didn't connect, and lost a big 4ish pounder . Disappointing, but off to a decent start!
  6. Lure: something that tempts or is used to tempt a person or animal to do something
  7. The bait monkey's hold over me is getting stronger........ A broken rod, tempting bargain bins, and a great deal on Flea Bay led to a tackle binge this last week. Everything is new to me except the reel. Minus the combo, everything was purchased for $40.00, which isn't a half bad deal! Gonna have fun testing them all out this week.
  8. ^ Yup got a new phone.
  9. Fatties!! Nice work bro.
  10. Wow, that sucks. Here you thought you were doing a good deed. Take her out to a nice dinner, that should resolve things......
  11. My boss is going to the beach, which means I have the whole weekend and all of next week off! I'll never take fishing time for granted after starting to work. My plan is to hit up all the ponds in my area, and hopefully to haul in some big bass. Looking forward to an awesome week! I'll be testing out my new *** and lots of new baits I just got. Can't wait.
  12. That' because a lot of the fish have moved deep. If you cover enough water, you should be able to find some shallow fishing, but you probably can't get to most of the deep hangouts.
  13. My go-to "not get skunked lures:" -T-rig -Shakeyhead -Inline spinner -Tiny popper If those can't get you bites, well, it's probably time to go home.
  14. I love pike. Unfortunately, don't have a ton in my waters. I think there's some pickerel in a small resorvoir down the road, but haven't tested it out myself. I'm sure it must be frustrating to lose lures, but I love catching them.
  15. Wow, surprised no one has mentioned any Rage baits. The Rage Craw is a killer bait for me. Took out the Rage Bug for the first time today and caught 8 bass flipping and fishing cover. Awesome baits. Have 9 bags of them coming in the mail tomorrow.

  17. Football people lol. I'll stick with Fantasy Fishing.
  18. Best of Show at Icast!! http://www.bassmaster.com/gear/koppers-cops-best-show
  19. 4-inch finesse worm. Whether that's weightless like I used to do or on a split shot or shakeyhead rig, I've caught hundreds of bass on a 4-inch finesse worm. 5-inch senko. Caught lots of fish on these, too.
  20. Green Pumpkin or Blue Craw. KILLER baits dude!!
  21. My friend, the longer I do this, the more I realize: The only way to control the bait monkey is to quit fishing altogether.
  22. -My Grandpa taught me the basics of fishing. -Scott Martin, and dozens of other YouTubers taught and still teach me how to fish for bass. -Robert Montgomery taught me a lot through his book Better Bass Fishing (highly recommended) -An older man in my church who used to fish tournament trails has taught me a ton about bass behaviour, lures, and tackle. -I'm always trying to improve my game and try new things And last but not least, the family of BR, who's taught me more than I'll ever know. Thanks guys!
  23. No dead bodies yet......an excercise ball full of water was a pretty dead weight. I hook shopping bags all the time, when they fill with water they're a pain in the butt to bring in.
