  1. I love my ***, it's a great rod and a solid choice. Based on reviews, however, I'd say you can't go wrong with any of those choices.
  2. Good luck!
  3. Thanks guys for the responses. I'm leaning toward the GeekPro. Looks pretty sweet, and it goes on a chest/head mount much better than the Virb Cam or the Ion Air (I don't have a boat.) I think I'll wait a few months and use Birthday money for it. By then it should have some solid reviews and not just promotional stuff, and I may be able to snag one for a good price on Ebay. Thanks!
  4. I just got rid of all the ones I don't use. Traded it for a new reel and a lot of baits I have been using. Works for me!
  5. I fish a pond similar to that with a little less junk on the water. Any exposed hooks immediately get a long strand of distusting vegetation....I fish flukes, t-rigged worms and craws, grandebass rattlesnakes, swimbaits, and of course frogs.
  6. I would get the Dobyns between those two
  7. Super Flukes, Senkos, and Grandebass Rattlesnakes. I've also recently been experimenting with 12-inch worms, and have had some good fish take them down into the confines of the dock. Haven't gotten a hookup on them yet though.
  8. Being an avid YouTube fan and someone who loves writing + sharing about bass fishing, I've always wanted to start a YouTube channel. But I don't want to shell out the money for a GoPro. Is there a video decent camera that can be gotten for a budget price? I don't have a specific range but under 200 definitely and probably more like $100 or under is what I'm looking for. Don't know if it's doable, just checking to see what you guys use/think.
  9. I would pick up a truck load All solid choices.
  10. I buy lots of odds and ends - a TW sale here, Walmart clearance there, Bass Pro, ect. It adds up
  11. Well guys, this was the toughest roster for me to pick yet. It's at the end of the season, and all the guys on fire are in Bucket A, all the guys who are doing well in Bucket B, all the guys in a Funk (or were in Bucket E and are doing better) in bucket C and D, and the guys who are plain out stinking in bucket E. I spent a lot of time on statistics and such. In the end, here are my picks. St. Clair will probably be another one of those dropshot fisheries. A: Cliff Pirch. Cliff has done very well at Havasu and the St. Lawrence River, and St. Clair sets up nicely for him. He is not a popular fantasy pick, yet he killed it at Havasu and did well for me at the St. Lawrence River. I expect good things out of Cliff. B: Brandon Card Brandon has been doing well on the up-north fisheries, and is a dark horse at 2.7%. I'm confident he can make the top 50 cut or better. C: Chad Pipkens My strategy is to always pick one favorite and/or local pro per tournament. Last one was Jacob Powroznik. This time Pipkens is my bet. He's been on fire lately, and he knows St. Clair pretty well. D: Mike Kernan Total gamble here. He has done okay at the previous tournaments. This was a tough bucket. E: Cliff Pace All the guys in Bucket E are doing terribly, and so I just picked a guy I liked. Who knows, maybe he'll turn around and get a top twelve . It's important to me to pick a guy at the top of Bucket E, which means he either dropped down from D or is moving up. He's owned by 20%, but I'll stick with him. Looking forward to this one!
  12. Yup, I grew up playing street ball in a ghetto neighborhood. Best way to learn to play . I played 2 on 2 last night with some friends. For teams, I like the Bulls and Golden State, and Tar Heels for basketball.
  13. Ended up gaining two valuable points, from 94% to 96%. Not a phenomenal tournament, but I had a guy in the top twelve. Bill Lowen made an impressive charge! I'll take the improvement, and hope I can finish the season well at the St. Clair!
  14. Worms, spinnerbaits, lipless crankbaits.....they get thrown less now that other baits are "in" lol. Not that it makes them any less effective.
  15. I love small waters, all I've fished. I would love the challenge of breaking down bigger waters too, but I don't have a boat.
  16. Took me a while to figure out summer fishing in my ponds. I've been catching some (not tons) on finesse presentations. Wacky-rigged senkos weren't producing anything, so I switched to a 4.5 inch finesse worm and caught fish. Been catching fish on the Ned Rig, shakeyhead, and dropshot (a wacky rigged finesse worm is great on dropshot).
  17. Do you mind sharing how much it cost?
  18. If you're up to sharing conditions, depth, weather, lures, ect. I'm sure we might be able to help ya out a little on what's going on or what to throw.
  19. I don't watch cable tv, I watch YouTube extensively. I love so many different channels it's hard so say. Bassresource is up there . I also like prank channels a lot.
  20. Old school, but Hula Poppers and Rebel Pop'Rs are all I throw. I wouldn't mind trying a popmax in white phython tho haha. A little rich for my blood.
  21. I'm the type that can't stand stuff sitting around. I do one of two things with my extra tackle: 1. I trade it with BR members for baits and reels. 2. I fish it until I catch something on it. That's just me. I see no point in baits sitting around that I don't use.
  22. For everybody who believes that small bass won't eat big baits, check out this video. Pretty darn awesome.
