  1. 1 Medium Spinning rod: weightless soft plastics, poppers, dropshot, shakeyhead 1 MH Baitcasting rod: weighted soft plastics, swimbaits, frogs, ect. That's all I take, and the only (servicable) combos I have.
  2. Seems like there's a ton of Denali Rods prostaff; apparently it's not all that difficult to get a position on their team. That said, doesn't seem like a lot of people buy them outside their prostaff.....I could be wrong but I really only hear of them by the people they sponsor. Never used a Casion, but they feel really good in hand. Pretty ugly IMO, but the grip is very comfortable.
  3. Lews all day. I have the Tournament MG and love it. Wouldn't mind trying the Citica 1, though.
  4. Wondering....how much of the field will be throwing glide baits?
  5. Anything goes on a shakeyheaed, but a 4.5 inch Zoom finesse worm, motor oil/chartreuse tip or GP chartreuse tip goes best
  6. 3/0 or 4/0 Round Bend offset is what I use. Gamakatsu preferably. VMC have worked for me too.
  7. It's almost the time of year for the grass to die!!!!! No more weedwhacking!!!!! Also, it's almost the time of year for the bass bite to get better; it's been a tough summer in these parts.
  8. I learned to fish plastics with a small finesse worm on a split shot rig, but it was set up like a poor man's carolina rig, just a hook, worm, and split shot.
  9. Saw the vid on Youtube earlier. Nice job AJay!
  10. Hey now! Skipper got mentioned too. It would probably help to read all the other submissions......
  11. I officially SUCK. Like, I have failed day one of this tournament. Can't believe I'm finishing out my fantasy year with a terrible day like this. Should have picked JVD......and yesterday, I went and looked for Alton Jones to see where he was, because I knew he would do well, but I stuck with Cliff Pirch. UGHHHH A Cliff Pirch Payson, AZ Place: 101 4 - 7 lb, 12 oz 72 0 72 B Brandon Card Carryville, TN Place: 82 5 - 13 lb, 0 oz 109 0 109 C Chad Pipkens Holt, MI Place: 16 5 - 18 lb, 12 oz 243 0 243 D Mike Kernan Wylie, TX Place: 107 1 - 2 lb, 0 oz 61 0 61 E Cliff Pace Petal, MS Place: 72 5 - 14 lb, 3 oz 131 0 131
  12. Nice one man! Having a scale doesn't affect anything, man. You won't even think about it until you catch a nice one.
  13. That's awesome man!! Welcome to the club.....
  14. I'd definitely try soft plastics, like Catt said, a fluke can be killer over grass, and maybe try putting a small swimbait on a dropshot.
  15. That wins, but not the contest lol!
  16. Scorpion or Viper jig: That hook looks like a fang.... After all, to the bass, your jigs have some nasty sting! 24/7 jig: for all times, all seasons. Adapt jig: adapts to any situation. Mobile jig: can be deployed anywhere at a moment's notice Assault jig: this jig is an all-out offensive assault! Cyclone jig: wreaking havoc wherever it goes Invade jig: No matter where the bass lives, this jig is going to invade their personal space. Blitz jig: An intense aerial bombing
  17. If you hooked it in the mouth to begin with, not in the side, than yes it counts. Now if you had hooked it in the side and then it snagged in the mouth, that wouldn't have counted, although it would have been pretty cool
  18. Nice one man!
  19. I wouldn't be worried about which one walks best...not that difficult to walk one. Now which one catches giant bass the best? Now that's a good question! Zara spook has stood the test of time in both categories.
  20. I don't usually guess on the high side, but I'm gonna give you 8-9 at the least. Beautiful bass dude.
  21. My major decision this summer was to start working. I have to pay for my own college, and so I worked my butt off this summer mowing lawns. I was able to tuck away a good bit of savings, and am continuing to wok through the fall. Not my ideal way to spend a summer, but I'll thank myself in 3 years.
  22. I was looking for that video to share, but couldn't find it. Good work
  23. They will use whatever they feel is best under the conditions. Of course, they do throw their sponsor's lures, but if they decided that another lure will perrform better, that's what sees water time. For instance, Aaron Martens fished a Z-man chatterbait the last day of the Chesapeake Bay Tournament because it had a beefier clip, instead of using a sponsor's bladed jig. Skeet Reese caught one four-pounder sight fishing at Guntersville with a Berklely Havoc Slop Craw, but everything else he caught was with a BassTrix swimbait, a company he's not sponsored by. Some people will tell you that they didn't use a sponsored product, where as some people keep it a secret. BASS Live is making it harder and harder to conceal what the guys are throwing.
  24. TW, TW, and TW.
