  1. ^^ Yup the Castaics might be what you're looking for.
  2. Rattles: muddy water, pressured water. No rattles: anything else
  3. I'd be living with a rage craw and a moving bait like a swimbait or crankbait, slowing down with the first and covering water with the second. If I had multiple rods, I'd also have a senko, dropshot, and topwaters (frog) at the ready.
  4. I've heard the Megasbass S-crank is pretty good.
  5. 307 pgs, 4507 replies, talking about a 289.1 mile body of water.. A little different different than a creek, just sayin'
  6. Dropshot, texas rig, tube, shakeyhead, jig, all proven at catching both shallow and deep bass. Get to work!
  7. That is freakin' awesome! There's a koi carp in one of the ponds I fish, and you can see it literally from across the pond. If bass were like that, they'd be a little easier to catch
  8. I just ordered some more heads, and I'll be getting some weedless ones at BP in a few weeks, so I'm looking forward to getting back into it.
  9. Didn't look through all the posts (shame on me, I know), but I pull out a trick worm or fluke and fish it weightless when I can see bass but they won't bite.
  10. Honestly man, Green Pumpkin is my color. It's what I've found works for everywhere I regularly fish. I carry mostly that color. To me (you may disagree) color is 50% mental and 50% attractive to bass. Just find a color or two that works consistently on your waters, and leave the rest home. Consolidate your boxes by cramming in as much stuff into one as possible. If you haven't used a lure in the last three months, probably a good hint you should leave it home. I used to take everything, now I fish a lot lighter. I don't miss all the stuff sitting at home!
  11. I heard a circle hook on the front can give you a decent hookup ratio....take it with a grain of salt, because I've only heard it not tried it.
  12. Man you crush them!!
  13. Hate to say it, but largemouth don't even come close in the bass beauty department. Nice work, Wolfy! That's a tank!
  14. Nice work haha!
  15. Hey you're going to love the Grandebass Rattlesnakes; fish them weightless with a 4/0 EWG and twich them like a fluke. KILLER weightless presentation.
  16. My hands down favorite is Green Pumpkin with a chartreuse tip.
  17. In my experience, the only issue you'll have is with the bag, which'll get deteriorated and greasy. That's about it.
  18. Saw that too. Ish isn't used to spinning reels Lol he was just trying to prevent a breakoff. He did say it was the worst fish landing ever. BTW, have you joined the Bass live chat?
  19. Soft plastics, year round. Mainly fish jigs in the winter. Topwater all the time, sometimes even in winter because I itch for blowups so much.....
  20. Get a regular bookbag, works just fine.
  21. I'm looking at getting started myself. This is what I'm planning on: -GoPros IMO are the way to go (no pun intended). Their cheapest version, although leaving a little to be desired, is going for about $130, I believe. -Set yourself apart from other YouTubers (try something different; be yourself, don't try to imitate the popular channels) -Stay as far away from "homemade videos" as possible: use good lighting, recording, ect. Try to be professional.
  22. Love it!! I have a super busy weekend so I don't think I can either fish or watch the Sturgeon Bay championship live. It sucks
  23. Cold mornings......
  24. I've caught carp, turtle, and catfish before while fishing for bass (well, I guess the carp was snagged), so I would guess it was one of those.
