  1. Dropshot Shakeyhead Ned Rig Jig Wacky rig small spinnerbait/buzzbait I've been killing the bass lately on a jig personally, I'd recommend giving it a try.
  2. Rage craws are far and away my favorite soft plastics (subject to change, but they've been a huge producer this year). FANTASTIC jig trailers, too. And yes, they've bumped the senko off the top of my list. That takes a lot
  3. Didn't take the time to take any nice pics (or adjust legnths, sorry), but here are some quick ones of three identical (outside of length) combos given to myself and my two brothers by a man in my church. Reels: Shimano Bantam Curados. Rods: H action custom rods, each around 5'6 in length, my friend's ideal length for pitching and flipping. I wasn't sure about using a rod that short, but it was really easy to pitch with and handled some fish nicely. Goose approved!
  4. Do you realize how many combos the pros have? And how much it would cost to have that many custom rods made and wrapped to look like his? Ike makes a lot of money doing what he does, but I reeally doubt any pro would do that with all the rods they use, that would just cost way too much.
  5. After a very, very (very) long summer of slooow Southern bass fishing, the bite is finally starting to pick up. I've been having a lot of fun lately just catching a lot of chunky 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pound bass with a couple of kickers. Just about all of my fish have come on a wacky rigged trick worm, Ned Rig, dropshot, and a jig. With the exception of the last two pics, these are all different fish. And in the dink corner, weighing in at a whopping under one pound, is my 4th and also pb smallie (can't seem to get around any bigger ones) : These three were cookie cutter fish, all caught on a dropshot within a span of 15 minutes. And this is my biggest this fall at 3 1/2 pounds, swimming a custom jig with a rage chunk.
  6. Good work my friend. I notice the left side of your mouth is tilted slightly upwards, that counts as a smile I guess .
  7. My prayers go out to all those affected. Awful storm.
  8. And Chris Lane.
  9. Wow, back from the fair and it's still going. I thought it would be locked haha. Yes, I agree with you for the most part. BUT I think there are much better ways to protest than to disobey the rules. Doing the latter just gives you a worse chance of having the rule taken away. I'm probably biased because I've learned that with my parents lol
  10. Okay, I'm not an expert in these matters but the results of this poll are disturbing. So some of you think that if you ignore those rules, it's going to put you in better standing with the government when you try to get them repealed? Sheesh, if you don't respect the rules, they're not going to respect your appeals to restore catch and release policies. If you won't kill bass, find a small pond or another body of water that doesn't have these rules. Don't destroy your chances of ever being able to throw fish back again. A law is a law, stupid or not.
  11. Don't think this has been mentioned: swap out the back hooks on a popper to make it float differently and have a different popping action.
  12. Fixed it for ya! Watch out for those typos bro.
  13. Pretty sure that's either a burner, bottom dweller, or heavy cover. Does it say "Raz R Blade" on the blades?
  14. Not for me, line behind the boat just is a tangle waiting to happen. I'm a one-rod type of person, can't focus on multiples at once.
  15. I set the hook with both presentations as hard and fast as I can after detecting a bite.
  16. ^^ Yup the sun hits the flakes, causes extra attraction, sparkle, flash, etc.
  17. My pet peeve is when you think you're buying ice cream and instead the package says, "Dairy Dessert." Sheesh.
  18. This might be your problem. Do you know how to set up brakes?
  19. Unfortunately, my job isn't skilled. Along with two other guys, I worked 11 hours today unloading and planting 30 trees. They weighed 500 pounds apiece. But then I would hate to be stuck inside, so I guess I prefer the harder work. It's been good for me.
  20. Scrolling down the forum page and seeing the title of this page, I LOLED.
  21. I've heard you can shave the edges of a deep diving crankbait to make it go deeper.
  22. Have you compared both plastics? Havocs: cheaply made look a little shoddier and have less clean edges little to no scent. still catch fish Powerbait More attention to detail reeking with scent still catch fish It's up to you to decide which to fish with. Easy solution for me; both!
  23. Did it today and smoked the bass, including a 3 1/2 pounder.
  24. Sheesh. Woke up to go fishing this morning and had to put on extra layers. Gonna be a cold one for sure.
  25. Nice chunks!
