  1. I really haven't branched out after starting with the Zoom Super Fluke in "Arkansas Shiner," it's caught me so many fish over the last couple years. The Arkansas Shiner color really imitates a bluegill. The fish love it.
  2. Different strokes for different folks. Some people bring a boatload and some people bring very little. If you're trying to get rid of stuff, go through all your baits, keep one or two key colors, and take something out if you haven't used it in the last month or so.
  3. Thanks for reminding me, Clayton. That is all.
  4. I puked just at the name. If the fast food ain't Chicfila, Bojangles, or Zaxbys, I don't eat it.
  5. I have several older ones, and some compilations of old articles. I value them a lot! I've read them so many times lol.
  6. The times where I am the most focused are the times that get me! I always want to know what action my bait is doing at the time when the fish bites, or how I presented it. I have to slow down, think about that individual cast, etc. But I rarely even remember setting the hook. The thing that helps is always having the mindset of "there's going to be a fish biting on this cast, on this turn of the reel handle, on this piece of structure." I always try not to let the fish surprise me. Not perfect at it yet, but that's my goal.
  7. In this time of general turmoil, hatred, and unrest, my heart and prayers go out to the cops who are doing their jobs and laying their life on the line for the good of our communities. Props to them. @Bluebasser86 is the only bassresource member that comes to mind, but any cops or the like reading this, you guys are appreciated.
  8. 1 M spinning setup (8 pound line) for finesse stuff, weightless plastics, small poppers, etc. 1 M baitcasting setup (12 pound line) for crankbaits, bigger topwaters, smaller spinnerbaits, etc. 1 MH baitcasting setup (30 pound braid) for texas rigs, jigs, frogs, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, etc. One school backpack with three plano boxes. One for crankbaits, jerkbaits, and topwaters. One for terminal tackle. One for jigs and chatterbaits. Three gallon bags. One for craws/creatures, one for worms, and one for flukes/swimbaits. One CD holder with spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. Also included are a scale, scissors/pliers, a first aid kit, and a backup scale. I've spent all my fishing history working on a good bank fishing setup. This is about as good as I can find without spending a ton of money.
  9. I find the exact same thing. It's the adrenaline, I think.
  10. I enjoy the bassmaster magazines but I don't learn a lot from them. The older ones are way better imho
  11. Coffee is not an option, it's a way of life
  12. I saw the title of this thread and laughed out loud; that's the million dollar question.
  13. I don't throw senkos a lot anymore but I can definitely remember catching over 10 small fiesty pond bass (the kind that usually tear off your senko) on a single GYBC senko with a shrink tube.
  14. @A-Jay You are a man of impeccable taste
  15. Gosh I would pick up one of those rods so bad but I can't justify it at the moment with semester expenses....
  16. I keep them in plastic storage bins, but I routinely trade away the stuff I don't use to other BR members. I don't like stuff sitting around that will never see the water from me.
  17. Shrink tubes are awesome, Wayne hooked buzzed bait on them and buzzed bait hooked me on them lol
  18. After a considerable amount of research, I purchased a Lew's Tournament MG Sped Spool for my first baitcasting reel. Managed to find it brand new for $50.00. Freaking steal of a deal. I've put that thing through so much abuse, and it's stood up to everything. It casts a mile, retrieves super-smooth, and has a great brake system and drag. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Lew's Reel and would highly recommend them.
  19. Sign the petition guys, do your sport a favour!
  20. Rage Craw hands down.
  21. Strike King probably has one of the most widespread, all round offerings of any bait company and I love everything I've tried from them. Zoom is pretty awesome as well. Berkley is getting up there with their new hard bait line but I haven't tried any of those out.
  22. Happy birthday Justin!
  23. Looks like a shad to me, bro.
  24. Fluoro is your problem, my friend. Use at least 30 if not heavier braid.
