  1. The plastic underneath is like a milky white color, it is not clear at all and it had no metallic flake from what I saw
  2. Megabass replied back to me yesterday and told me that they have no kind of warranty on their baits, that they just handle each case on a case by case basis. They asked me to send the cranks in with the hooks removed, so I packaged them up and shipped them today. They should arrive next Tuesday, we will see what happens from there. So far they are being very helpful
  3. They did, they were in my tackle bag which was in my car while I was working. I can't imagine it was much hotter than if someone had left the box in a compartment of their boat though, like I said all of my other cranks look perfect. There are even other megabass hardbaits in the same box and they show no signs of swelling or cracking.
  4. Sent an email to megabass through the "contact us" link on their website with pictures and an explanation, hopefully they will respond. I sure hope they do something to solve the issue, it could be very bad for someone with a box full of those cranks. Luckily I only had 2
  5. So I was just organizing my crank box, and noticed that my S cranks all of a sudden had "racing stripes" lol upon closer inspection, it looks like the paint job is like a shrink wrap type film. My tackle bag has been riding around in the car with me, and I am starting to think the heat made these cranks swell. All my other cranks look normal, has anyone else had this happen?
  6. Yes sir, I have actually been debating on picking that exact reel up lol it has a little rash, but that Gigas 105 spool is amazing. They are very smooth, light, and powerful reels.
  7. For a fairly cheap, highly customizable reel it is very hard to beat a TD-Z. You can find them on the auction site for around $100+ shipping and they are one of the most customizable reels you can get. I have bought a few of them this way so far and you can not buy a better reel for the money.
  8. I have been really leaning towards this solution, I really like the way they perform in the alphas. I think I will go ahead and order a steez sv105 spool.
  9. Hey everyone, I have this Tdz that I have had for a while now that is starting to have some problems. Every once in a while, the inductor will stick (not spring outward like it should during a cast) When it happens, it causes one heck of a professional over run and I normally end up having to cut it out. When I pull the side plate off it is pretty difficult to pull the inductor outward, but once I do get it to move it will work flawlessly for a little while. I have tried lightly oiling it with lightweight bearing oil, and it didn't help much at all. Is there anything I can do to free this bad boy up? Or do I just need to go ahead and upgrade the spool? I'm hoping someone else has had this problem before and can point me in the right direction. Thanks for looking!
  10. I'm pretty sure I bought the rod that I.rar mentioned above, still have it and love it. I have it paired with an alphas ito with a sv spool, and used it to catch my first smallmouth while on vacation. I was throwing a 1/8 rooster tail on 8 lb sniper and the rod handled it well. I will say that I can not stand the stubby little handle, I am about to have it removed and made into a full cork grip. They are very nice rods for the price.
  11. The original Tatula rods are amazing for the price. Super light, crisp, sensitive, and good guides. If they made that same rod, with a little bit beefier cork handle I would probably have nothing but tatula rods. The handle seems pretty small to me, that is my only complaint with the rod. But that problem is easily fixed with winn grip tape
  12. I have the 7'3 heavy tcs and like it alot. Its pretty sensetive and not too heavy, balances out pretty well with an old zillion. There is only 1 thing I would change, and that is the grip. It feels a little small to me, but I also have semi large hands.
  13. I can't stand the sham-wow guy, he has got to be the most aggravating and annoying TV salesman I have ever seen.
  14. Caught on a megabass popmax, baby bass color. Did not have a scale or tape, so I have no clue of weight or length. She came completely out the water when she hit the popmax! And it was my first time fishing it! From the butt of the rod to the bottom of the reel seat is 11 inches, just for reference.
