  1. I moved here in early August 2015 and have had great success fishing the ponds on Fort Stewart. I have caught fishing that are small to genuine lunkers. If you want to catch a huge Large mouth Bass then I would highly recommend you venture over to Fort Stewart ponds and give it a go. I have caught a 10lber and a 9 lb 13oz bass in less than 3 weeks apart. This is going to be a great spring this year. Get your rods and reels ready!!!! Let me know if you are not familiar with the area and I will help you out. (picture: 9 lb 13 oz caught on culprit curly tail watermelon black flakes worm Texas rigged in pond 32 on Feb 23 2016)
  2. I am new to bait making and was wondering what is the best site for beginners? I fish a lot and spend a lot of money on buying baits. I have always wondered if it is more cost effective to make your own. Additionally, by making my own baits, will they have the same impact as the commercially manufactured baits? What really got me interested was that I saw you can recycle a lot of your soft plastics. I use a lot of soft plastics and spend a ton of money on them. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

  4. That is awesome. I just wish I could get my wife out there and catch a fish. Everytime we go fishing she is sitting on her chair reading her book and just chillin. Oh well, maybe one day I can convince her. Congrats on the nice catch.
  5. I will report in July but I am coming down in April to do some recon on houses and of course my wife doesn't know yet but I am bringing the poles for some fishing recon too. mikeD1Esel I will look you up when I get there. Thanks for the help.
  6. Thanks for all the help Gentlemen. Now I just have to convince the wifey that these Costa sunglasses are a great deal I mean they really are and they have a lifetime warranty. Thanks again, Rippin' Lips, kentuckyraider.
  7. I am have been looking for a new pair of polarized sunglasses and cannot seem to come to a decision. I have always liked Strike King and would like to get the S11 series but just wanted to hear some other options that other people believe are better. I do sight fish quite often and need a good pair to break the surface for me to see the big ones.
  8. I am moving to the Savannah area in July and I love some Bass fishing. I was stationed at Fort Gordon a few years ago but moved to South Carolina for a little but I have always had luck in GA. I was wondering what are some good lakes or small bodies of waters around Fort Stewart that I could crush some big ones and take my son out? I no longer have my boat so I will be limited to shore fishing for a little bit.
  9. I have never used braid on a bait caster and was wondering what would be the best option for line for just everyday fishing and not specific bass fishing techniques? I just got 2 new Lews Speed Spool Baitcasters with a 7.1:1 ratio.
