  1. The other day I was going through all of my fishing gear and noticed that I have more rods and reels than necessary. After going through them I've decided that I would like to let go 10 rods and 9 reels and plan on doing so though the flea market here. However this is my first time selling items on here so I have some questions. Also I'm not even sure if this is the right place for this post. First question, since all of my rods and reels were well taken care of, in general how much should I be asking compared to the brand new prices? Another question is about shipping; do places like UPS or Fedex carry those cardboard tubes that you get from TW?
  2. I'm sure this isn't the first time this question has been asked. But I am thinking about getting a kayak for the upcoming fishing season and it will be my very first one. I would fish smaller rivers and smaller lakes and maybe even some ponds. So I was wondering if anyone had some input on any beginner kayaks. I would want to stay around $500 price wise give or take, and I would also want to stay around 10 ft for the kayak itself.
  3. I am in the market for a new spinning reel to match my new 6'10 mxf st croix rage rod. I'll be using it for weightless plastics and wacky rigs and maybe even smaller jerk baits. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good reel for this? I would like to stay around $200 and must be available at bass pro because of gift cards I've been saving up.
  4. You can't go wrong with a BPS Crankin' Stick. Awesome rod and for an awesome price. I use a 7' medium for my square bills.
  5. I am in the market for a rod and reel that could handle swimbait a like the R2S S-waver and others around the 1-2 oz weight. Also in the lakes I fish are northern pike and Muskie. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a beginner swimbait setup that could also be used with northern and Muskie? My price range would be probably around $250.
  6. After finally catching my first jig fish and then some this season, I got a little and bought a bunch more jigs and plan on using them once this ice goes away. Being that I am still new to using a jig, I want know know what kind of line everyone uses to throw 1/4-3/8 oz. jigs. Brand? Type? Lb. Test? I used 12# Pline flouroclear and I am wondering if that is enough or is there a better option for this application?
  7. I am in the market for a 12' or possibly 14' Jon boat for the summer next year. I was wondering if anyone knew if bass pro had trailers for these Jon boats. I have a bass pro store relatively near my house so that would be the the first place I look. Or if there would be a cheaper option trailer wise.
  8. Next spring/summer I am thinking about looking for a 12' jon boat. I would want to install a casting deck as well as a graph and a trolling motor to hit up some of the smaller lakes in my area. First question, is there a jon boat that size that can be pulled by a vehicle with a tow capacity of 1000 lbs? Also I am open to suggestions for a cheaper fish finder and trolling motor as well as where to look at jon boats.
  9. I want to get into using jigs and I was wondering what the best rod would be along with a Revo S? I would like to stay in the $130 range for the rod, as well as what would be the best gear ratio for a reel for jigs?
  10. This year is this first time my neighborhood pond has water clear enough to see the bass on the beds. Being that I haven't really focused on bed fishing before, what are your top 3 bed fishing baits you use?
  11. My girlfriend and I are taking a trip up to lake Geneva in Wisconsin and she said we can try fishing since we will be right on the lake. I won't have the boat and we will be limited to bank fishing. We will be there in late May. From experience I've caught smallies on flukes, dropshot rig, and grubs. So my question is what am I bringing with me in my tackle bag to have success up there from the bank? Am I good with flukes, grubs, and a dropshot? Or is there anything else that'll help?
  12. I just purchased a 7'3 heavy rod for jigs and some light flipping and pitching baits from 3/8 oz-1/2 oz. what kind of line would you guys put on this setup? I also have a bass pro qualifier on it.
  13. I just picked up a mojo bass spinner bait rod and am planning on using it with 1/2 & 3/8 oz. spinnerbaits and Chatterbaits. So my question is what would be the best line to use for this kind of fishing?
