  1. IDK for sure, never ate there, had my boat docked at the marina couple of years ago, but never even noticed a restaurant. Looks like it opens at 11:30am.
  2. Soap creek area sounds good to me. July time frame is good too, as of now.

  6. Hi Bo, welcome first off. Second, see your in Augusta, GA as well. Also, don't forget to go to the Introductions and say hi.
  7. Very nice jigs, bait monkeys are running ramped now...lol.
  8. ^^^I agree with this. I won't spend much time on top water if they aren't jumping, couple of casts with fluke, popper, etc., then I am going under the water and/or another spot.
  9. Gary Yamamoto has a good video on setting the hook: https://youtu.be/AF54a6R2MNc It may help, it may not, idk.

  12. Buying a boat could probably be the same as buying a house. List out what you "need" and "would like to have". Once you have this you should be able to start your search. i.e. Need: Boat w/ working motor. Trolling motor Fish finder Want: Shiny fiberglass boat that will put me on the far side of the lake in 5 secs. Trolling motor that is GPS capable/integrated with fish finder. Like the others have said, its what your budget can handle; hidden costs, maintenance, gas, insurance, taxes, ugg. If your looking for that awesome deal, well you are just going to have to keep your eyes and ears open, it may take a while to find. With that said, I bought a new boat for the warranty and to make sure the motor wasn't going to die in a year, btw motors are expensive, normally more than the boat.
  13. lol, ok when I first read "color c lector" I thought it was a joke thing, after I saw it twice in this same thread I googled it. It's a real thing that cost me money to tell me what color to fish with...lol, no thanks. I will stick with the experienced folks advice on the forums. Might as well mount a color wheel and spin it. ha!
  14. Good one!
  15. 5lbs 8oz. Is there a prize for the right guess? lol. Did you take it back and weight it or we just guessing? Nice fish either way.
  16. I had to start coping down everything I been reading and watching just to try it all out, I forget about most of the techniques and baits when I get out on the water...lol. Great job tho!
  17. Sounds like a good idea, I'm in, just let me know when and where.
  18. Heard this one today: So fishing with my friend the other day, he catches a big ol' bass, takes it of the hook, reaches down under the seat and pulls out a bottle of whiskey. He takes a shot, swooshes it in his mouth and then spits in the bass' mouth and releases it. This continued on for quite awhile. Finally I asked him why he was doing this? He replied by saying, "when I let the bass go, he is going to go tell the other fish that he was caught and not to bite, but they won't believe him if he is drunk."
  19. White spinner bait. Proof:
  20. OK, cool thanks for the info. I just got done watching Glenn's video on chatter baits, he was using a white chatter with trailer. It seems that may be the hot ticket right now..lol. Congrats on the tournament btw. I was going to enter one this month, but I realized I needed to practice more and save my money.
  21. As my buddy would say, "Doesn't madder how big it is, it's still a fish!"
