  1. I like it, 1st through 8th gives us a little more time on the water.
  2. Silly question here but where do you guys find the most helpful information about tournaments and events for Bassmaster, MLF, and FLW. I can find some information on each respective website but am having a hard time tracking down schedules and tv times. I may be a complete idiot but i find these sites somewhat confusing when it comes to tournament schedules. Is there a better location to find this information, perhaps in a consolidated format?
  3. Went out yesterday and got skunked. Water is muddy from all the rain and the weather has the fish acting goofy.
  4. Im in. I like bluebassers idea of a weeklong window, tokens given sunday night, 2 days of fishing during that period.
  5. @Wnspain Went out saturday afternoon and hauled in a massive 3 dinks, all on a zoom lizard. Hoping to get back on the water after this next week of sketchy weather. Cmon springtime!
  6. Larger guides for sure. I use a veritas for frogging and I replaced my microguide veritas for a standard due to clogged guides and braid wrapping issues. Probably the user but i seemed to have a lot of difficulties with the microguides in general.
  7. Stanley top toad, nice and hefty, floats and makes quite a bit of noise.
  8. Thanks for the report wnspain, i havent been on the water lately, cant wait for spring
  9. I caught some of my largest bass on that exact same color this season. I really like the top toads because they float in place however i caught most of my fish on a moderate retrieve. I use them like i would a buzzbait when i need a more subtle presentation.
  10. Ive found it to be fairly inaccurate, catching fish on poor days and getting skunked on excellent days. That being said i still pull it up before fishing just to see if i can ever find a correlation. Havent found one yet
  11. Thats happened to me...twice! Palomar knot and check it or retie OFTEN if your fishing in the nasty stuff!
  12. X2!!! The big rig is the most stable kayak i have ever fished from!
  13. I just purchased a used tarpon 100 and am trying to get a feel for mods. A dashboard was one thing i was considering, could you post some pics of your setup?
  14. Hahahaha i dont get it either. Me dumb. Show picture
  15. Been using an offset round bend all year on my stick baits and havent had a problem. Ewg is a lot of hook imo for weightless stick baits. Hookup rate is also not a problem with the roundbend for me
  16. Dont compare your performance to others when youre just getting started, youll only hurt yourself by smashing your confidence. Good anglers get skunked all the time. The difference is they spend enough time on the water and learn what to do different or better. It takes time. I picked up bass fishing last summer and almost gave up because i wasnt getting the results i thought i should be getting. Stick with it and you will get better. I still get skunked (last night) but nearly as much!
  17. Congrats, awesome way to break the news too! Theres no feeling in the world that compares to being a father.
  18. Awesome catches! Wish we had that program in ok too, ive seen pics of some BIG bass here in oklahoma...on stringers
  19. Got another big one tonight on a stanley top toad. I was sure she was over 5, unfortunately it weighed EXACTLY the same as my last pb caught on saturday! I cant seem to break 5lbs. My goal was to catch a 6lber this year but i think im going to be satisfied with a 5 at this point.
  20. Regular or jr. I have caught more fish on 1 single pad crasher this year than any other bait combined!
  21. This guy had a hook pass all the way through him. It was rusty but it was still there. He was fat and healthy so i left it in. I realized 2 things after this, hooks last a long time and bass are tough.
  22. Ive been using one since the beginning of summer and its become my favorite. The only thing i throw with it is a frog. Its very well built and its pulled some fish out of nasty places no problem! Find them online and they cant be beat for the price!
  23. Biggest fish of the season
  24. Went out this morning and tore them up on stanley floating toads, frogs, and senkos. Caught my biggest 'verified' fish of the season. She slammed a booyah padcrasher right before sunrise. 4.94 lbs
