  1. I thought this meme was brilliant, but I got snubbed on FB
  2. Matt Allen is an amazing example (north cali or not) that trophy fisherman exist and can prove it legitimately. He will soon completely replace and eclipse Mike Long in the fishing industry. His and Tim's channel has already enlightened and inspired thousands!
  3. This guy is all about ego and reputation. Now that his is ruined, I highly doubt we'll hear from him ever again.
  4. This guy is the Lance Armstrong of bass fishing.....but worse. I just watched watched all of sdfish.com's video. Absolutely broke my heart.
  5. I remember you telling me about this. Still sounds horrible!!!
  6. I actually ended up with a similar or perhaps identical Plano bag! Did you get the weekender series? I love it so far, I have the 4 3700 size boxes, then a smaller one for a terminal tackle in the front pouch. Left side pouch holds all of my line, right size pound holds scale, cull tags, plyers, etc. Super happy with it!
  7. Thanks! If it doesn't mean buying a part worth more than a new reel then I'll be a happy guy!
  8. I was fishing a tournament this weekend, and I started to notice my Curado was all of sudden making these wicked bombing casts of like 50-60 yards, and every 3rd cast or so it would back lash severely. I hadn't changed anything, but never-the-less decided to tighten down the spool tension and engage another magnet. To my amazement it continued to get progressively worse no matter how much I cranked down the spool adjustment and magnets on this thing. Come to find out, after 10 glorious years, the magnets appear to be failing, and I'm in need of a replacement for my favorite reel of all time. Does anyone who has fished with these incredible machines have recommendations for a similar reel that casts light lures well? I'd prefer to stay with Shimano, but I'm open to alternative suggestions as well. Not looking to spend more than $200.
  9. Made this one today while cruising the 4sale section of ***
  10. Found a frog bite in May. Weighed the biggest bag I ever have in a tournament, won it, and won big fish. Also broke my PB pike and crappie all in the same weekend.
  11. I figured a lot of boaters would feel that way, that's why I've always tried to stick to a less cumbersome set up as I fish a fair amount of draw tournaments.
  12. Spring has finally sprung here in Montana! And though cold, the fish are hungry!
  13. Is it one of these two?

  15. I've fished 1-2 tournaments a year for quite a while now, but this year I've decided to go all-in now that I have the time and money, and fish every one I can afford to get to. After my first tourney of the year, my bag that holds my terminal tackle and soft plastic finally broke irreversibly, and I'm looking for how other co anglers effectively carry all of their tackle. I currently have two separate bags. One for hard baits and wire baits, and the second for soft plastics and terminal tackle like I mentioned above. I'm curious what systems/combinations of bags, backpacks, binders etc. that people have found efficient carrying enough tackle for avidly fishing as a co-angler?
  16. Not sure if I'll go next year or not. Going to Knoxville had multiple benefits for me being that I'm favoring the possibility of moving there fairly soon. Traveling to Alabama is probably out of the question for next year. I'll likely save my money for upcoming tournaments that year provided I qualify for my state teams.
  17. Breakfast with everyone was a blast! Day 1 I got to sit in the splashwell right next to the stage (pictures to follow.) Spent a pile of money on new baits and a new reel. Watched Tommy Biffle square off with Brian Snowden in a flippin contest. Met Hunter Shryock, Former Vikimgs defensive end Brian Robison, John Cox, Karl Von Dibble, and Hank Cherry. Also watched Larry Dahlberg on the bass tank talk about the whopper popper. @TnRiver46 and I had the strangest convo with a weird dude from the Livingston booth about the Keith Poche/Ish conflict and a lot of other drama Also was absolutely smitten by this cutie who worked for the TVA biology team at their fish tank and had a long conversation with her about fish (had I lived here I would have had to have asked for her number.) Not to mention I've had the best fishing guide in TN for the whole trip! Also, @kbeeb374 came down from New York and put on a jig flipping clinic yesterday.
  18. Now Ott just needs a limit to blow everything up!
  19. Anyone else waiting in line for the expo?
  20. Fishing with you guys has been a blast. If anyone else has the chance to I highly recommend it! I'm quickly falling in love with this state!
  21. Made it to TN! Super excited to meet everyone and get my line wet.
  22. Anyone who wants to meet up for fishing before/after the classic should message me so we can exchange info and further coordinate away from this thread.
  23. Pencil me in for Breakfast as well!
