  1. LoL i had a very similar experience walking a super spook at a local pond last summer.A Big Redtail Hawk saw it and assumed it was a snake and dove in after it i yanked as hard as i could and the bait skipped across the the water on to the bank. It scared the hawk pretty good! I doubt i could removed those 3 trebles from such a wild bird. On top of the bird scaring me, on my very next cast i got a vicious topwater strike and caught my personal best for that year over some submerged trees.
  2. Thanks alot! It was my first baitcasting setup!
  3. Haha very funny posts! I feel like my dad is the worst! He's old school, he uses a bobber live worm and a split shot exclusively for all fish species. When i take him bass fishing ill suggest that he uses a lure or atleast a simple texas rig, but he just looks at me sternly and says "you gotta let em come to you"! He'll be pulling blue gill and crappie out and throwing back while im on the other side pitching stumps and brush catching 2-3lb bass. He's so set in his ways but ...thats my pop
  4. Thanks guys!
  5. Thanks Skeeter. Ill be sure to take care of myself
  6. Thanks!

    Awesome setup !
  8. Hi guys im glad to be a member of this forum. I am not new to Fishing in general but i am new to strictly Bass Fishing! I started just last spring, i bought my first rod and reel which was a $55 Quantum Traxx combo. I fished with a bobber and sinker all threw the spawn last year because i knew nothing about bass fishing or lures and techniques. As summer approached i started to study and learn more and now i have the bass bug lol. Ive spent over $700 of my own hard earned money on bass tackle and rods. Not to mention the countless dollars in plastics and jigs. Im 18 and hope to fish until my hands are to stricken with arthritis to make a cast hahaha. Quick Sets To You All!
