  1. Considering purchasing a Lews, David Fritts Perfect cranking stick and was wondering what would be a good length and action for throwing 6Xd & 8xd crankbaits. Is this a good cranking rod for the money and does anyone have any experience with this rod? Thanks Guys in advance
  2. Was wondering if any of the duckett owners have or know if a duckett micro magic can throw deeper crankbaits. The reason I ask is I noticed micro magics have soft tips similar to those on cranking rods which can favor cranking. thanks folks....
  3. Hey guys, need suggestions for a descent Cranking rod for throwing Deep Crankbaits, 10xds 8xds 6xds. Cranking depths 15-40ft for Toledo Bend Hogs. My question is what a good crankbait rod for the money? I keep hearing glass is recommended for crankbait rods, what is the benefit of this over graphite?
  4. Anyone who has fished weightless soft plastics knows the challenge of trying to cast these incredibly light but effective lures. What would be a good rod to cast senkos/soft plastics reasonably well? Fishing mostly weightless senkos, trick worms and flukes. Saw a Falcon Cara 7ft medium action today on clearance for 89 dollars, was wondering if that would be a good rod, anyone have any suggestions?
  5. Anyone have any feedback on this rod, saw one on clearance for 89$ is that a good deal and is this a good rod?
  6. Can anyone tell me what the new Duckett Triad rod is all about in terms of advantages and where it ranks with the Ghost and Micro magic? Advantages and Disadvantages? Any experience with this rod model?
  7. Any suggestions for a rod that provides good bottom contact sensitivity and under 200?
  8. 100-200$ range.... And yes FC as main line. Ive noticed using longer heavier action rods, really make fishing deeper water a little easier.
  9. Hey guys... What would be a great rod for Carolina Rigged soft plastics, fishing deeper water with Flurocarbon line. Looking for a rod that provides pretty good bottom contact sensitivity. Targeting deeper bass in 15 to 30ft water. What would be a good brand, length, and action?
  10. Bought a 10xd crank bait this weekend, took 1 cast to realize this will require special gear. Can you guys suggest a reasonable cranking rod for deep diving crank baits such as 10 xd, and 6xd. Already have a low gear Lewis tournament mg 5:4 gear ratio to use just need a rod. ew
  11. Always, and I do mean always use a safety chain or cable from boat trailer to vehicle.
  12. Bravo to Lews... Purchased a tournament MB roughly a year ago and recently had issues with the worm gear. Sent it in to Lews speed service and they sent me a brand new reel. If you have a tournament MB and your worm gear malfunctions, send it in to Lews because some apparently have defects and they will replace it.
  13. I use a Duckett Ghost Heavy action 7ft 3in rod and would heavily recommend a heavy action rod 7ft + length. A longer rod and heavier action would give you much more confidence and leverage especially fishing deeper water.
  14. I was very fortunate to see Kevin van dam win the elite series on Toledo bend last weekend, I witnessed him catch several bass using a crankbait in deep water on Toledo bend and would like to learn to use a crankbait in deep water. What would you guys recommend for throwing 5-10 XD crankbait said in deep water. Rod? Reel? Line?
  15. Just started researching aluminum ranger boats for purchase, how long do boat loans finance for in terms of months years?
