  1. So previously I had concluded (albeit with cautious optimism), that this glide bait may actually be the best glide bait for the money. Wrong…I have since found a problem within its particular “swim envelope” it seems at slow retrieve speeds, and after pauses, it has this tendency to right itself, and just come in straight. Straight as driftwood. After casting, I find it needing a pop of the rod tip to start the retrieve reliably. no other glide baits that I use have this problem. So yeah, a little disappointing still most of the time it swims very nicely. Just have to be mindful of those pauses and slow speeds

  4. Always dirty, always dank. Well that’s good to know. I was concerned that my hudds were too subtle.
  5. I do have those, but how about for those deeper water occasions?
  6. So for dirty stained water, visibility of 12in or less at times… My thought was to use 6”-8” paddle/boot tail swimbaits for the vibration. I didn’t figure more subtle actions would be as effective. But I also figure larger glide baits that put off big side flash, actually do make sense in these conditions. Not sure about multi jointed swimbaits in dank water such as this, but I do like the variety of ways available to change up the retrieve. What say you, El Gurus of the big bait?
  7. Oh ok, well I’m accustomed to slobbing saliva on my knots, so I think I’m ok there.
  8. Burn the line? Not sure what you mean by that
  9. Right, guess I’m just concerned about that leader knot introducing an additional point of failure possibility
  10. And I presume a braid/leader is not advisable? Just the straight mono or flouro by itself?
  11. Just had a line failure recently during a cast. So, I figured I’d pose the question, looking for recommendations.. for casting a 3-4oz swimbait, what would be the proper line weight that would not break off in mid swing? Btw….I opted to post in this forum, despite it being a line question, because I preferred to draw the attention of the seasoned swimbait users in particular, for best advice.
  12. Thank you gents, I appreciate the input
  13. I was today years old, when I first heard of this issue
  14. Greetings all just looking for recommendations on what would be the ideal jig heads to use for those larger Keitech sizes thanks much
  15. Well that’s interesting, thanks
