  1. His stuff is great; pay the extra for wire tying if you don't have the stock to do it yourself, the paid is very durable, the hooks are solid and the skirts are very good quality.
  2. Nice of you to take this on, hopefully the community that uses that lake/pond keeps doing their part.
  3. Sales certainly aren't what they used to be but I always find something to spend my money on when it kicks off.
  4. Squarebill all day long
  5. Opened up NorCal's gifts, really impressed with his bait selection and thankful for his generosity.
  6. Got my package from NorCalBassin, he wrapped them all but I won't make it until Xmas. Will get pics up as soon as I get a chance to sit down and open them. Thank you NorCal!
  7. You are very welcome A-Jay. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
  8. Package just shipped to Gaylord, MI, should arrive early next week. Hope you enjoy the baits!
  9. They are great covers KDW96, saw them on a TackleJunky81's YouTube channel and thought I would try them out. Now all my baits have these covers on them.
  10. TW Order #1
  11. First TW order has arrived: Not included in the pic is a Dobyns Sierra Heavy Fast action rod TwHawgs - I take it you are a big Dirty Jigs fan?
  12. I think that it is very likely that the record will be broken in my lifetime. You have a lot of people out there right now building high output, private fish factories. They are honing the craft of creating big fish on private ponds/lakes and will likely get to the point that they can grow them in the 20's with ease and the right genetics line.
  13. Sorry it is not a JR just a swimbait rod, I was looking at another brand that had a JR got them confused. Details are below, got it for under $100 with 20% off and free shipping from Tackle Experts during Black Friday: Dobyns Fury Casting Rod 7'9" Med Hvy Swimbait FR 795SB. Swimbaits, Giidebaits, Umbrella Rigs. Show Information Taper Line Wt. Lure Wt. Guides Handle Type Handle Length Stock Price Qty Fast 15-30lb 1-5oz 9+Tip Fury Swimbait 20-1/2" Dec. 11 $119.99
  14. Got my Dobyns Fury Swimbait Jr. rod in the mail yesterday, now I just need all the swimbaits/glidebaits I ordered from TW to show up. My order of everything else from TW should be here on Monday so that will be a fun time to tear open.
  15. Congrats Jar, enjoy the new ride.
  16. I have one of their rod racks; well built, looks nice, easy to assemble, light weight and holds a descent amount of rods.
  17. I am mostly a power fisherman, if this bite is slow I will resort to the slow stuff. I really need to focus when fishing slow, I am just not wired to fish that slow.
  18. I am going to put effort into improving the following areas: Swimbaits (both hard and soft) - bouth a bunch from TW during BF sale and picked up a Dobyns Fury SB rod to have the right set-up. Jig Fishing will be a focus - both flipping jigs and using swimjigs Try more soft plastic presentations - Carolina rigging, shakey heads and wobble heads. That should keep me busy for the 2017 fishing season.
  19. Only about three years seriously. Used to fish as a kid but gave it up when I hit my teenage years, picked it back up when I hit 31 years old.
  20. I finally hit the number of posts needed for this - count me in!
  21. As Bluebasser86 said their value is minimal at this point in time, and I have had a similar experience with catching no bass on these baits (and not from a lack of trying). They looked so good you would have thought they were a fish catching machine, but just never had any luck on them.
  22. I usually do this twice a year, I will start with stuff that I have barely or never used. Normally I will go through the plastics and dump colors that don't produce or stuff that I rarely if ever use. The hardbaits will normally entail looking at colors first - don't need 10 of the same color baits, so they will be pared down that way. If something hasn't worked then it goes into the dump pile as well, or if there is a new bait that I bought that will replace something else I will pull he older baits out to try the new ones*. *Note on the last point, I don't liquidate the old bait until the new one has proven itself, then the old bait will hit the sell pile.
  23. Rage Craws killed it for me this year - Watermelon Red Flake and Junebug specifically. Also had some success on the Zoom Trick worms on a shakey head
