  1. I have a question about 15 and 20 lb. monofilament line. I have daiwa and Bass pro qualifier bait casting reels and the recommended size line on both is 12 lbs, not the drag. Can I place either of these two line sizes on those reels? I feel it could effect casting distance. Jim
  2. I recently found several Johnson Weedless Spoons , and am curious as to what would be the best trailers for fall bass fishing and should I tie the line directly to the spoon or use a snap swivel due to line twist?
  3. Thank-You very much.
  4. I fished from shore and during the summer I do quite well using the drop shot method. Is it still effective in the fall or should I stick to jerk baits, etc.??
  5. I live in the Northeast and am wondering what a god all season color for a plastic lizard. I am seriously thinking a drop shot from shore(no boat). Any suggestions?
  6. I use only Bill Lewis and Cotton Cordell rat-l-traps. I have never had this problem. Donate them to "Goodwill" and stick with those two brands and you will be able to concentrate on fishing. Iwould also use 10 or 12 pound fluorocarbon and not the heavy braid. It is a great search bait!!!!
  7. I have using lipless crankbaits a lot lately and I am wondering...should I have a wide snap-lock on the end of my line or just tie line directly to split ring? Very good search bait.
  8. I was straightening out my tackle area yesterday and found an old quantum 441 pitchin reel. What was the best line to use with this reel? Might give it a shot this summer.
  9. I have been fishing with a Johnson Weedless spoon last year and have run into a small problem. I use an Uncle Josh "black widow eel" either a number 140 or a 160 pork rind bait. I keep losing the black widow eel. Any suggestions to help keep the eel on but still have the spoon run true?
  10. Fishing from shore try to fish a point where you might try and throw your lure vertically along the shoreline. If there is vegatation especially throw a frog on braided line. Jim
  11. I have been given a Berkley 7 foot medium action "Unique Series" T-50 baitcasting rod. The tip is like a "buggy whip" and am wondering what type of lure to use with it or how should I fish with this?? Any help out there would be very appreciated.
  12. Recently I have throwing my spro bronze eye frog to the weeds and open areas and am noticing that my frog is on it's back! I need the white belly down..any suggestions?
