  1. Thank you everyone for all of your responses. I greatly appreciate everything. It seems to me that one of the fan favorites is the IMX844c. Looks like i might have to check it out!!! thanks again
  2. im very interested in hearing some reviews on those who have used the new line of IMX as well!!
  3. Thanks for the input everyone! I have been considering the IMX series, mainly due to the price point and the good reviews. The only thing i am hesitant about is the Newest series of IMX, from what i have heard it is not on par with the previous model, but once again that is just people opinions i have heard.
  4. To start off, I know this is a very subjective topic and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That being said, is there, if one in particular, a Model is the G Loomis line that you would consider BEST BANG FOR THE $$$? ...... Obviously, you hear how great the GLX and NRX line of rods are, but for what you pay is there a certain line (GL2, IMX, GLX, etc.) that you would consider the best for the money? Thanks in advance, all input is much appreciated!! -Jacob
  5. Mono: McCoy Mean Green Flouro: Seaguar Invisix
  6. not to be a broken record.. but once again, just check the seller feedback/reviews and always use paypal!
  7. I have the previous model of crucial, black eva grips. I absolutely love it. It's the 7'2 MH XF. I mostly throw jigs on this rod and it works wonders. Definitely one of my favorite rods for under $150. Also, if u are lucky you can find they around $100 or less at dicks sporting goods on clearance. Good luck!
  8. i dont have a clarus but i do have a crucial and i love it. Sensitivity is great in the crucial line, especially for $90. If it was me i would opt for the Crucial, considering you are planning on using it for jerkbaits. Added sensitivity is always a bonus, especially in early spring when the bites are subtle. Just my two cents, good luck!!
  9. I have always thrown spinnerbaits but this past summer I started using painted blades on my spinnerbaits with great success
  10. Brand new shimano crucial 7'2 mhxf (blk with eva grips) $65 after tax from dicks sporting goods
  11. I own the older shimano crucial (black with eva grips) and personally think it is a fantastic Rod for the price point. Check out a dicks sporting goods in your area, you might be able to snag a deal, just picked up another one on clearance for $65 after tax!!!!! See if you can beat that quality for that price!!!!
  12. i love my chronarch 200e7
  13. 3/8 oz black and blue jig
  14. Thanks everyone, like i said, currently I am using 15lb Seaguar Senshi and havent had problems with it yet, just wasnt sure if there was a better option out there for me...
  15. I was wondering what line most of you prefer to use when throwing "popper" style baits. Do you use Mono or Braid??? And what pound test do you throw?? I have been using mono exclusively up until this point and was considering a switch to braid... Thanks everyone for your comments!!
  16. Shimano Chronarch 200e is quite the "sturdy" reel
  17. Shimano Citica or a used Curado
  18. As for me, living in the Northeast region of the country as well, I use 12 lb flouro 75% of the time when fishing a squarebill, The other 25% of the time i will bump it up to 14lb if i am fishing heavier cover (laydowns, docks, etc.)
  19. A 7 ft MHF is a great all around rod for those techniques
  20. 15-20 McCoy Mean Green, low memory (esp with kvd l&l), abrasion resistant, and low stretch, fantastic line for the money, and made in USA.....what's not to love?!?
