Thanks guys, I might have to give one a try. I mean I believe the carbon steel comes with a one year warentee. Plus I am a believer that if there is a defect in the rod it will break within the first year of owning it so if something would happen I would submit a warentee claim
Thanks guys, I have two older magnesium ts and really like them, so I was looking to maybe pick up a carbon steel or two rather than the new magnesiums soley based on price. It's just hard because I am unable to actually hold one in hand before purchasing ..
Hey has anyone used the newer model of the kistler carbon steel? Looking at one for bottom contact baits, such as beavers and craws. And was wondering if anyone would recommend one. Also how do they compare to other $100 rods? Thanks in advance...
My recommendation would be a chronarch 200e. You can pick them up new for around $150. I have four and I love them. I personally don't think you can pick up a better reel for 150. Good luck!
Well thank you both for your reponses. It will most likely be paired with Chronarch 200e7 with 15 lb flouro, an I suspect both will balance equally. I am able to handle the avid at a local field and stream. I'm just in able to hold the e6x before purchasing. It's a toss up, either 843c mbr or mh fast.
If you had to choose between either a G Loomis E6x and a St Croix Avid, which would you choose. I'm looking to use it for bottom contact baits mostly, prob MH power for jigs and soft plastics. That you in advance for you advice!
This might be a dumb question, but can i switch the gears out of my Chronarch 50e with Core Mg7 gears to make it a 7 gear ratio? Do they fit or are there a different set of gears i need to do this with? Thank you in advance?
I have two Chronarch 200e7s and a 50e, and I absolutley love mine. I also owned a curado 200e7 and loved that as well. Buy with confidence, and they will last forever!
