Zodias 7'2 MHF will do you just fine.

How do you like the lone Falcon expert? Which model is it and how would you compare it to your DC XPs?

I have not used the Shimano Expride 7'6 H, but i have owned the 7'2 H Expride and Zodias and they are both fantastic for Arigs, as well as many other techniques. I spool up 20lb copolly on a curado 200 and mostly use yum flash mob jrs with 4 1/8 oz heads and 1 1/4 oz heads with RI little dippers. Fished this set up the past two years and caught numerous bass (and stripers) and it has worked flawlessly. With the shorter length (7'2) I have been able to make accurate casts around laydowns and other cover. I am sure the 7'6 H expride (7'5 H Zodias) would be great for bombing Arigs if you want the longer length rod, I just prefer the 7'2 H because it doubles as a pitching rod in the summer.

I use my zodias for reaction mostly but they can still hold their own in the sensitivity department for bottom contact. The 7’2 mh zodias is great for swim jigs, chatterbaits, buzz baits, heavier keitechs etc. I use the 6’10 mf zodias for topwaters and and a backup jerkbait rod to my Expride. I use my Exprides almost exclusively for bottom contact due to their added sensitivity. Bottom line you could do everything with both if you wanted to stick with just one line of rod. Obviously if you can afford all Exprides I would go that route due to added sensitivity and aesthetics, as I prefer the thicker cork handle to the slimmer Eva. Both rods are great. Can’t go wrong with either.

This. Awesome line for the price. Been throwing 20lb on my arigs for B.A.S.S. and striper.

Finess football jigs (1/4 oz- 3/8 oz + trailer), 1/4 oz trigs, shakey Heads, finess crigs, weightless senkos. It’s a very versitile rod. I have it in the orochi xx line (gen 1) and it’s one awesome stick. I use it mostly for bottom contact Baits but with it s more moderate fast action it works nicely with reaction Baits too.

I have three that I would suggest. Dobyns champion 735c, Megabass orochi xx perfect pitch or Shimano Expride 7’2 Heavy (7’3 xh if in really thick stuff. I usually use the champion 735 as I usually have a jig or trig on the other two. But all can be used and are great

I have owned the Megabass orochi xx fss, St Croix avid mhm, and a dobyns 705cb. The fss was awesome but it broke on me. Still have the 705 cb and it’s my go to for shallow to medium cranks. Highly reccomended

I am a huge fan of McCoy’s. Highly reccomended. I personally use the 12lb xtra clear on my cranking rod. No issues whatsoever over the past 4 years of using it.

In my experience, I had the buyer send me he rod back and I refunded him is money. So processing the claim was in my hands, not in the hands of the buyer. After I filed the online claim I believe you receive a confirmation from usps via email and then you have to take the recieved info and damaged item to your local usps for their review. They will then hold it until it is process. Once processed I know they may want to keep the damaged item. I was fortunate to take it to my local post office where I frequent and was able to get back the broken rod on top of my insurance claim money so I could then warranty the rod for much less. So I technically made out. Typical process is they refund you the claim money and keep the item.

I had this exact thing happen to me before. Shipping PVC tube through usps, they bent it and broke the rod in half. Luckily i insured it. Similarly to you, I didnt have the original receipt. It was a dobyns champ extreme for reference. When i filed the claim, I provided a copy of the paypal transaction and copy of the MSRP and specs from dobyns website. It took about 1.5 months for the total process but I received a 100% reimbursement of my insurance claim, even thought my insurance was the MSRP of the rod, not the amount of Paypal transaction ($350 vs $220). I would add a Megabass destroyer Valdivia to that list if you are looking for the ultimate jig rod

I have never used the ALX but i have used the MGL and for the money, its one awesome reel!

I use both sniper and Invisix. Usually only on bottom contact rods and on leaders for spinning setups. I have switched to copolly for all my reaction bait setups.

For that price you can pick up a used dobyns champion 735. Great rod for the money. I wouldn’t pay full retail for it but definitely worth $150 and can be had for that regularly in the used market if you keep your eye open.

I have a sv103h on my DSR. Love it. Balances perfect. I like the 6.3 for swim jigs, chatters, spinner Baits, etc. All techniques I use with that rod. Highly reccomended!

It’s that time of year to start putting stuff away here where I’m at. Snows on the ground and the lakes are starting to freeze if not already frozen. Firgured I would take a pic of my pitchin setups. Pair of MB Orochi XX Perfect pitch rods with a JDream and a SV103xs. Awesome setups. Highly reccomended.

I prefer a 7’2 Heavy fast action rod for jigs most of the time when fishing those weights, paired for 16-20lb florocarbon is the ticket for pending cover. Not sure your budget but my reccomendation would be a Megabass Orochi xx Perfect Pitch rod. Perfect rod in my opinion for pitching a jig, along with many other techniques.

I would reccomend a dobyns champion 765cb or 805cb. Glass vs graphite will be your preference. And I would get a shimano curado in the 6.3 gear ratio. Holds lots of line being a 200 size and 6.3 is a good speed for all moving Baits in my opinion. Solid combo here.
