  1. Its tough out there these days. You have to trust a companies reputation and hopefully get some experienced opinions about almost everything available. Maybe look for a review on youtube. If you want a 6'6" or a 7' Rod take a look at the Team Lews rods on sale at American Legacy Fishing. It's a once in a lifetime deal. Many of us here on the forum took full advantage. We bought up a ton of them and we're all thrilled with them. I bought 2 and I'm glad I did, They're fantastic rods.
  2. The ouch! factor.
  3. The exchange program is on the site. But I think its better to talk to one of the folks there about a trade first.
  4. Cut the line and hi tail it out of their.
  5. lol My cast and the animal being in that exact spot was a total coincidence.
  6. I was on Tucker behind the first island, There was no evidence of a beaver hut anywhere near by when I started casting.
  7. A most Excellent Post!
  8. Just emailed Tom and Nikki...!
  9. Ok I will... Hope it helps all of us if they come on board. Cool!
  10. I've seen many on some ponds and lakes and zero on others they being the majority.
  11. Good idea, Very possible. Depends on the administrators here on the forum.
  12. I like the wind at my back. I'll generally cast a spinnerbait in dark water or a .5oz ball head jig with a transaprent 4" grub in clearer water. I'll look for deep, rocky or sandy shorelines. Works for me.
  13. They're a solid company with a very helpful staff. Often they offer great deals on popular gear. They recently had a sale on Lews Rod's and specific reels that made them very affordable. If you want to talk with a rep give them a call. Adam, Bryan or Jacob will be glad to talk with you. I'm not sure if the sale is still going on.
  14. Plano 837 Guide for jigs,,spinnerbaits and cranks and a medium bag with 4 boxes, zipper pockets on 3 sides for plastics.
  15. If we're talking worms it would be a black Mann curly tail. I've been throwing them since 1983. I've caught many Lunkers with them. Culprit would be second place finisher. Texas rigged with a True Turn hook and a sliding bullet weight.
  16. surprised to read this, Thought G Loomid was higher end. I'll look to see if Fenwick offers a 6' rod. They don't offer a 6' rod. That's the problem I've been up against. Seems like G loomis is the only good builder that offers one.
  17. Me either.....................
  18. Any Jig
  19. We needed the rain in Southern New England. Supposed to go on for three days straight.
  20. Get a 12vt aquarium aerator for the cooler.
  21. I was waiting for that ... lol
  22. Coontail is referred to as cabomba here. I wasn't referring to the weed pictured. I should have made myself clear. If you look up coontail on line you will see that it is also referred to as cabomba.
  23. I'm "comfartable" casting two handed with spinner baits,cranks... It's a gas.
  24. I cast one handed at least 50% of the time. Whats the big deal about it? I thought everybody on this forum did. Which means I never gave it a thought. Way back we had only pistol grips. Long handles and split grips weren't even available for us casters.
