  1. I have a fewhite that I like. I have a dobyns hp 746dx, dobyns ce 765 flip, megabass orochi pitch perfect (JDM version), and for the heavy stuff a megabass black jungle Super Red Demon. All are great with different purposes for me.
  2. I am a die hard daiwa and shimano fan. I usually fish high end reels by both companies: Steez, Metanium, Conquest, Antares, Zonda, IP79. I recently bought an Okuma Helios TCS and enjoy fishing it. Pretty nice work horse reel.
  3. Can a daiwa ZPI handle be paired with RCS knobs?
  4. I bought this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Goture-Portable-Fishing-Spooler-Accessories/dp/B0116JEU6I/ref=sr_1_4?s=hunting-fishing&ie=UTF8&qid=1484864871&sr=1-4 It's easy to use and cheap. I only use braid on spinning reels though, so I don't know how mono and fluoro work on it. I do spool my batters with copolymer withe it and have never had any problems.
  5. Anyone know what size Allen wrench is needed to take the screws out of the handle? Also what size is the reel handle nut? I just got a new handle in and want to put it on it. I tried my hedgehog screwdriver, but it didn't fit. Thanks guys.
  6. Going to be throwing moving baits on it, spinnerbaits, bladed jigs, and squarebills. I needed a heavier rod for throwing these baits down in Mexico. The cover is heavier than here in South GA. What do you use your's for?
  7. Bought 3 rods in the last 2 weeks. All 3 megabass: 1. Black Jungle Super Red Demon 2. Black Jungle Power Versatile 3. Destroyer X7 Diablo Fast Move Then there were 2 reels: 1. Megabass Zonda 2. Megabass IP79 If I don't post any more, please check for a shallow grave in my backyard...
  8. I haven't got into fly fishing. I only really fish for largemouth and inshore. I live in South GA on the coast. I do want to try it out though. I think it would be fun for inshore.

    Costa Help

I actually have Green mirror, blue mirror, and copper in 580. I switch between my green mirror and copper for fishing. My blue mirror lenses have been designated as my driving glasses and are left in my truck. Mine are all plastic because they are lighter and if I drop them they won't shatter.
  10. I can cast, flip, and pitch with both hands, but I prefer to reel with my right hand with both casting and spinning gear. I feel I control the fish better with my left hand on the rod. I think it probably comes from a combination of me using a right hand zebco 33 growing up and I am left handed when I hit baseballs and softballs.
  11. It's according to what you are flipping and pitching into. I have different setups for where ever I am fishing. 1. Heaviest cover-timber/thick mats: megabass Super Red Demon with a Daiwa SV103 2. Moderate-heavy cover: Dobyns 746dx with a Megabass IP79 3. Light cover: Megabass orochi Pitch Perfect with Steez ltd sv 105 I use either power pro or suffix 832 braid or 20 to 25 lb Yo-Zuri or P-Line copolymer
  12. Does anyone change out all their reel handles for carbon fiber handles? I just bought 2 for reels that I acquired with 80mm handles and was wondering if it was worth upgrading all my reels.
  13. 1. Megabass Vision 110 (only have a few...they are expensive) 2. Lucky craft pointers (my main jerkbait) 3. Rapala X-Rap Zoom Super Flukes or Magnum Flukes for soft jerkbaits.
  14. Deep cranks I like Bomber Fat Free Shad and Norman DD22s. Midrange Strike king kvd, lucky craft. Squarebills lucky craft rto, river2sea biggie, jackall askas, and kvd. Last, but not least lipless cranks lucky craft and red eye shad.
  15. I use multiple different stick baits including Senkos, Dingers, bps stick baits, grandebass rattlesnakes, RI pocket rockets, and gambler. I feel they all have a time and a place. My best producers are Senkos, BPS stick baits, and grandebass. These three are also my favorite. When I go hunting for a big fish I use Senkos exclusively. I have just caught so many more bigger fish on them than the others.
  16. I feel like I do better in the morning, but most of my big fish came between 10am to 3pm. That being said I have caught plenty of fish in the evening. Time of year also plays in.
  17. Any recommendations for a spinnerbait rod to throw spinnerbaits 3/4 oz or greater? Not worried about the price, I have no budget. Thanks.
  18. I caught a 7 lber on a dirty jigs swim jig in citrus shad with a reaction innovations skinny dipper in pearl trailer.
  19. I use the river2sea frogs and the Ish Monroe frogs.
  20. I use 12-15 lb copolymer line. Usually whatever I have sitting around. P-line or Yo-Zuri
  21. Here are a few of my reels. Shimano JDM Conquest 200 Shimano JDM Metanium Shimano Excense DC Daiwa Steez LTD SV 105XH DAiwa Steez LTD SV 103TN
  22. I use a dobyns champion xp 806 SB rod with a Shimano conquest 400 for my big baits and I use a dobyns fury 795 SB rod with a Lexa 300 for my smaller swimbaits. I do have big hands though, so the 400 is comfortable to me.
  23. I use power pro and suffix 832 with no problems for my braid.
  24. I throw my deep cranks on a dobyns 805cb foot with a 5:1 or 6:1 gear ratio (conquest or curado). I throw squarebills, jerkbaits, and lipless on a dobyns 704 cb or 705 cb with 7:1 gear ratio (Curado or Tatula).
  25. I have ordered rods from tackle warehouse, eBay, Amazon, American Legacy, Mel Cottons, Dobyns. I have also ordered some reels and a few rods from Japan. Most are free shipping over a certain value. If they don't hit that value there is usually around a $20 shipping fee. Ebay and Japan sellers are usually seller dependent.
