  1. Thanks! I may go with that method.
  2. For a long time, I've been keeping most of soft plastic bags in my Plano tackle bag, which has a clear compartment underneath the main flap. It holds about 20 bags of plastics. However, I'm getting more soft plastics than the bag can hold. I'm looking into get the lews boat bag and putting my bags in a couple of big Plano utility boxs and storing the boxs in the boat bag. Just curious on what size utility box you all use or how you store your plastics. Thanks guys!
  3. Also, If you're encountering a lot of grass, I would suggest throwing 50lb braid. But either would be fine probably. Also, I've caught two five pound bass on the hack attack jig in bluegill color with a small yellow and black grub. The jig has a perfect keeper for this application. The jig also comes in a sexy shad color, which also would work great.
  4. It all depends on your lakes cover. If you're going to be encountering a lot of cover, then I would definitely use the #17 copoly. Just throw some backing on your reel so you don't waste any line, but that's obviously optional. For the swim jig, I love the Greg hackney attack swim jig by strike king in 3/8 or even 1/2. If your really shallow however (2'-5') a 1/4 or 3/8 will work just fine.
  5. I also have a 6'8" mojo bass topwater rod. I paid $110 for mine. Its a medium power, with an extra fast tip. Great for poppers, spooks, buzzbaits, etc. Unfortunately I don't use mine to often on my home lake.
  6. I have the exact same rod. I like it pretty well, and it is definitely worth the money. I have it on my abu garcia silver max.
  7. I've caught a good 6lb bass on a little swimbait with tiny treble hooks.
  8. Well, obviously bigger bait will catch bigger bass at times because a larger bass has a larger mouth to eat their "meal". But this doesn't necessarily mean you will catch big bass at all times. Even little bass will go for big baits a lot of times. I've experienced that little bass will go for larger crankbaits on good days.
