  1. Iv caught some of my bigger bass casting to deeper water and just slowly dragging the football jig back,So I'd say deeper water for me as well.
  2. Another fan of strike king here
  3. Finesse football jigs! Finesse football jigs are good to start out with 3/8 ounce,Get a pack of watermelon red or green pumpkin rage craws or even some Yama moto twin tail grubs as your jig trailor and you will gets lots of bites and catch lots of bass for sure, Other baits that are good to have are hard and soft jerkbait, square bill crank and of course war eagle spinnerbaits are a must to.
  4. Well I guess there's many variables to the original question,Certain lakes like Toledo and a couple in Mexico it's hard NOT to catch a 10+ lol, But average/more common lakes where it takes more skill to get the biggins to bite anything, lakes that aren't plumb full of 10 plus bass, Bigger baits give you a better chance no doubt.
  5. Yes small worms and jigs have caught big bass but it's not something you expect every trip out and I'm a big time jig fisherman,When I take a big trout swim bait and chunk it all day I know the chances of me catching a 10+ lb bass has GREATLY increased simple as that it's not uncommon at all.So yes clearly larger baits = larger fish majority of the time because fish do not waste energy if they don't have to.
  6. Well said man totally agree.
  7. Take some crankbaits and have some of your favorite pros sign them, They make good decorations for the garage or man cave lol, That's what I do every year
  8. 3 years old fishing crappie!
  9. Nothing like a jig bite! That's why it's the best bait day in and day out, how you like those rage craws? They have been my favorite trailer for a couple years now.
  10. Yes its true if we're talking about trophy bass, Very rarely will you see bass in the 10-15 lb range go after a small bait, when they use there energy they will make it worth it that's for sure, Now if we're talking average size bass then it's not true at all imo, Iv caught many 4-7 pounders on small trick worms.
  11. It's really cool to meet all those guys and talk to them,I go to all the flw and B.A.S.S tournaments on beaver and table rock here every year and take lures with me to have my favorite pros autograph,Always just waited for them to come weigh in to talk and get some tips from them at the expos, Now I have a boat so I'll be following some of my favorites next time lol, Hope you have fun man its a blast!
  12. My wife and 2 boys fit in my 14ft flatbottom comfortably but my boys are only 3 and 6 lol, I think a 16 footer would be a good choice as well, Are you wanting something to put a deck on?
