  1. Mines hasn't broke yet but I assume anything that's user repairable is a good thing. I rather fix something myself then send it back or wait for them to ship a part to me.
  2. The new glock 42 and the kahr p380 would be my choice in .380 but some of the pocket 9mm arent much bigger. The xds 9mm and the the kahr pm9 are pretty slim and nice. I personally stick to certain brands when it comes to a carry gun, but with any gun there can be a problem so do yourself a favor, dont carry it until you get 500 rounds through what ever gun you choose.
  3. The ones i use are the reverse albright and uni to uni. Recently i started using a new knot because of rods with micro guides and getting the leader through them, its called the sebile knot. All have worked great for me with great results.
  4. Yeah I'm looking at the box right now and it says rapid fire drag system. It's a nice feature to have but honestly you won't realize how much you love it until you go back to a reel that doesn't have it. The sustain has it also but the drag disc's are different then the ci4+.
  5. I own both and use both for saltwater ( sorry guys im a saltguy trying to play in the fresh water ) for snook and other species. My ci4+ 4000 on a custom rod i have has caught most of my snook last season and i always reach for that rig. The reel is carbon fiber thats stronger then the original and the x ship feature makes a big difference, but i think the rapid fire drag is what i like the most and the fj doesnt have that feature at all. its light and strong, how do you beat that?
  6. I really can't suggest actions and stuff for the fact that I'm new to bass fishing but I have a ton of rods for saltwater. Shimano has the new Cumara rods out and there technique specific also and was considering it for a inshore rod in the 6# range. I know there a little out of your range but some times you can find them online for sale at under $200 ( I was thinking about one of these rods for my core 50 also ). As far as the mojo's I have a few of the mojo inshore for salt and there nice but I would real try to bend them first. There a stiffer graphite then most rods in there weight class but this might also be a option for me for my Abu mgx.
  7. Honestly if it's a shimano crucial, I believe they have a lifetime over the counter warranty. If there's a bass pro shop or any big box store that sells shimano should swap it out no problem.
  8. I'm a noob to bass fishing but not to fishing in general. Trying to convert from my saltwater species and try to get into bass. Bought a few reels to start with and I'm currently using my lightest saltwater rod I own, it's a star 6-14# with a Stella fe with fluorocarbon on it and I like the feel but I'm still not catching bass like probably the rest of you. Anyways I'm sure I will be asking about rods for my other two reels and other tackle and see where it goes from there.
