Hi, my name is Ryan and I'm 22 from Canada. I've fished all my life but only recently have I gotten into it in a serious manner. I've grown up with a simple worm and bobber and I remember being told catching a bass was much better than panfish, but I never actively fished for bass. As I got older I got tired of panfish but my desire to learn more about fishing wasn't there, I simply didn't have the time. Now that I'm a little older I've sponged a lot of information and I've decided to make bass fishing my main hobby. I've been out more this summer than I have my entire life.
I decided to start using jerk and crank baits and I've set a goal to catch a nice 5-10lb bass before the year is out. I also want to be able to enter tournaments within the next year and be a real competitor. I've been shore fishing because I don't have a boat but I plan on getting my boat smart license so I can rent a boat with a friend and take off for the day.
Anyway, I decided to join this forum to learn more, to have my noob questions answered as I'm still learning. As I said, growing up I was super casual about it and now I want to be the best bass fisher I can be. I look forward to meeting everyone!
