  1. I have to wonder just how much extra $$ these municipalities are seeing. A city about 40 miles away installed these cameras last year. If memory serves, the city only sees about 30% of the fine. 30%? You would think if the city is the one running the cameras and issuing the tickets that they would see alot more than 30%. I dont doubt what your saying is true but only 30%..... Usually to pass something like that the city council has to offer incentives to the tax payers, so a lot of money for any program is shuffled around. Thank god!
  2. Well you're in questionably the best bass state in the country. You have tons of water around you, and within a few hours. I LOVE fishing Texas!
  3. Pros use all kinds of different stuff. Most use either their own line of stuff, if they have one, or whoever sponsors them. If you flip through Bassmaster each month under the tour recaps there are tons of different setups. I dont know of any website.
  4. Im not sure why you WANT a completely topwater worm. I use trick stick style worms weightless (albeit without a swivel) and I can keep them an inch or two under the water very easily if I want at a decent speed. Ive caught a few nice fish that way actually.
  5. Well that just seems a little stupid now doesnt it.
  6. Hah they are pretty sweet. My cellphone takes up to 4gb microsd, which doubles as a USB flash drive. I keep all kinds of music and pictures and stuff on there, plus some emergency stuff incase my computer crashes.
  7. It seems like you could make a pretty simple rod belt with a shoulder harness that would hold a few rods on your back, maybe going to one side so you could overhand cast easier.
  8. There are tons of programs to get kids involved in fishing, the problem is most of them cost more money than parents can afford. Theres an article in the newest Bassmaster about sponsoring kids, its pretty pricey but i guess if you have an extra 3-600 bucks laying around its for a good cause.
  9. Well the solution seems to be to just call the day after you order and tell them to ship your order over and over again. I wrote a complaint email saying it was a bunch of crap and if they did it again id take my service elsewhere. They said theyd send a reply in 1 business day so, ill get a reply in 6 days or so.
  10. I dont see why you couldnt just set up your tent next to, behind or in front of the truck in the parking lot unless they have a rule against it which would suck. With an air mattress it would be fine, plus its flat!
  11. Sounds like those stride gum commercials. Last too long
  12. You should have gotten more than just expedited shipping. I've never orders from BPS on line or catalogue nor will I ever. It seems that this is where many of the bad experiences come into play. I agree but...like what? A small gift card or a credit or something? Ive never heard of 3 day shipping that will take 4 days from when I talked to the company being called "expedited" either.
  13. I notice no real difference user side except for the URL drop down which I hate.
  14. I think he's saying premium cork holds up longer, so cheap cork is filled to make it look better and hold up a little longer, but it will lose the filler and start to wear. But if you want you could get your premium cork handles filled as well.
  15. I dont get it either. I'm a righty but I like reeling with my left because I have more dexterity and power in my right arm for rod control, while my left hand just has to reel. I've always used lefty spinning gear and when I switched to baitcasting they asked me if i wanted a left or right handed reel so I said right, figuring that was right. oops. Now I have to find everything in a lefty model :-/
  16. Or when the fish explodes about 7 or 8 inches off the frog for no reason...
  17. Well you kinda figured out your own problem, do the worms sink if you put them in the sink without a swivel and just a hook? I was under the impression "floating" worms were meant to stand up from the bottom but not actually float on the surface.
  18. Man, you cant catch a break! Was there not insurance on the package? Ive had fedex break something over $100 with insurance and they replaced it after some complaining. Cant help with the other stuff, sorry
  19. I got some Owner hooks in the mail and I will check them as soon as I get to by tying a knot and TRYING to slip it out. if it does I guess ill have to crimp it down and not buy em again
  20. If you do it and it does screw up the balance, just make a hollow cap for the end and mess around with some lead weights in the handle. You could even get some lead powder and put it in a little bag and mess around with that. Problem solved.
  21. You currently have a left handed reel, and are wanting a right handed reel. Contrary to what you said, most reels make a right handed model while not always a left. Right handed baitcasters are easier to find and more common in my experience.
  22. I dunno, all he would really have to do is buy some bass fishing product from a company that gave out his info and it would quickly move down the line. Or even more likely is sometimes surveys will ask what you are interested in or what magazines you receive etc.
  23. Well i've never been to a tournament so I dont know, but can you not sleep in a tent? Seems like that gets rid of the bugs and it wont be hot and stuffy? Even if you have to set up your tent right behind the truck, just use an air mattress
  24. This is no longer a sporting event but a comedy show.
  25. Looks like so far I bet good.
