Everyone else has said it but... If he's keeping legal sizes and numbers, then chances are he isnt hurting the lake. Also, keeping smaller fish might actually help the larger fish. You could also catch a bunch of crappie if you have them in your lake and eat them because, well, they just taste way better than bass.

Its not really a waste of time since it only takes about 10 minutes to make all your bets for the day, and then you watch sports...

Mom called me and woke me up way too early this morning to tell me. The news said he went in to the hospital with chest pains and died there later that day. the closest looking thing I can find is "Viral Haemorrhagic Septicaemia of Fishes" which when I google it brings up fish with red splotches but they do not look raised. It could also be ulcers? Like I said, doesnt look normal, and I doubt its from fish being rough or whatever. I would contact your fish and game and show them the pictures

Looks like parasites or something. Doesnt look very normal to me.

I tend to say "Ooo that was a nice cast" or "Oh that place looks fishy" even when I'm by myself.

Weird, I've always been told dark water or overcast skies, use dark colors, clear water use bright colors. If thats backwards then I guess the rules dont apply to me either cuz that works just fine

I never could order from them since im in CA, but I've had friends out of state who got them and said they were pretty fresh. I havent smoked a cigar in awhile but I used to love them. Id rather go to a smoke shop and get them though....just me personally.

I'm going to go to our local river this coming week hopefully. Its mostly smallies although there are largemouth too. So...I've never fished for them before, any tips? Should I just bring smaller worms and spinnerbaits/jigs etc?

when I fish senkos like that, I never let the fish run with the bait, I just wait till I feel them and snap it hard. I've had pretty good luck like that.

I just got my owner hooks. I see no gap big enough to fit line through. I tried to pull some through and it was not even close. Maybe you got a batch that wasnt bent right?

Grab some needlenose and pop it out. Or you can try wrapping the line around your finger a couple times and putting your finger in the curve of the hook and push straight down, but with EWG type hooks the hook might stab the back of your finger. I just use pliers

How often do you downgrade to smaller stuff? I have a whole section of small spinnerbaits and jigs that i NEVER use. I'm not sure if they are 1/8oz or smaller, but regardless, I have too much stuff in my tackle bag and Im thinking of taking them all out. Is that a bad idea, or are they just too small for anything but say, river smallmouth
