  3. Knowing you it seriously incredible. I can't wait and it's not even mine!
  4. Thanks all. Yes I do like the Bandit 200 for sure. I'll pick up a few others, including the Bomber 5A.
  5. Yes the sale went from BF-CM, but nothing new or different was what I ment.
  6. 20% off nearly everything on BF, nothing for CM (at least so far...). They do have the 25 days for Christmas.
  7. I fish alot of shallow rivers and a squarebill is a huge bait for me. But in early spring and fall I need something that dives a little quicker and deeper. Looking to grab something in the 4-6' range. I have DT 4 and 6, but am looking for other suggestions as well. Thanks!
  8. Well took out my Subwalk today thanks to @A-Jay recommendation and I have to say its the Crappie'st lure I've ever thrown. Hooked up with 4 nice crappie, and 2 bass that would be lucky to measure 10". Overall pleased with it and looking forward to throwing it some more, especially in the spring.
  9. Found the Moss Back on eBay, will be here next week!
  10. So. Many. SB's. Must resist hating you.
  11. Funny thing is TW has it listed under topwaters, but show it dive to 4'. I'm definitely picking one or two up.
  12. Interesting, I fish alot of shallow flats this might be a purchase. It says it can run to 4', is that if you reel down before working?
  13. http://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product/2778 110 is a pretty large handle.
  14. Too many to list, I LOVE FALL! Jigs, crankbaits, jerkbaits (hard and soft), spinnerbaits, lipless, topwater, to name a few.
  15. You just came to show off your cute gf, you knew it was LM the whole time!!!!
  16. Welcome from a fellow SOMD'er.
  17. The flappin hogs (large) were or well I guess I should say are my go to t-rig bait. They are simply too expensive now a days. I still have a bag or two with me at all times, but it simply won't get the use it used to. Shade Shape Worms are also a wonderful bait as others have stated - drop shot, mojo or small ball or dart head jig.
  18. Thanks for the replies everyone, just trying to learn people thought processes when on certain patterns and moving to the next similar spot. Lot's to learn as always.
  19. Again, this was just a hypothetical question and maybe the wrong way to ask it. I guess I'm just asking what factors do you consider when approaching a similar area (grass, laydowns, whatever the case) after having success with a faster paced (cranks, spinners, chatter, etc) as well as a slower technique (shakyhead, jigs, t-rig). Yes, this is basically what I'm thinking - "I think what he is trying to say is you catch them on a crank bait then pick areas apart with a slow, methodical approach by flipping or pitching." Is there a correct answer maybe not like with most things in fishing. Just seeing what your thought process is for choosing one or the other first.
  20. Thanks all. Just trying to cover as many things as I can, because I know I will have a learning curve once on the water and would like to be as prepared as I can be. I think for now I will pass on the rudder as well as the anchor. Just stick to learning the boat itself, then adjusting later if need be. I like what @flyfisher said in regards to using eddies or beach the boat and wade if possible. Seems transporting won't be an issue which is nice.
  21. Cheers! It worked.
  22. Just went to reply on a thread I started But when I try to reply an older quote that I posted yesterday keeps coming up and I can't delete. I tried refreshing and going back and re-entering but no luck - no I can't eeven type in it. @Glenn just wanted to point it out, any thoughts? See picture for possible clarification.
  23. Hypothetical question here: You go out for a small club tournament you have been out for about 4 hrs and have boated a few and caught some small ones as well. All were caught on a squarebill or pitching. You are fishing grass lines in about 3-5' FOW. You move to the next spot - do you start with a squarebill or a pitching. I'm thinking squarebill to catch the aggressive ones then maybe come back and pitch? Does you answer change if you are fishing laydowns?
