  1. Thanks for the replies - can you define or go into more depth on 'loading' a rod, 'load' on a rod, etc? For others (me) that might be reading and wondering?
  2. So I have rod A that has a recommended lure weight of 3/8-1oz - what if I put a 1/8-1/4oz lure on it? Same kind of question with rod B - 1/8-3/8 but I put a 3/4oz lure on it. What are the cons to putting something outside the recommended weight on it - bad hook set, sensitivity? Thanks!
  3. I'll go on youtube and try to find some vidoes - thanks.
  4. Wow - thanks! Should have realized this topic has been brought up before.
  5. So I mostly bank fish - looking to get a Kayak this winter. But any tips on the best way to get un-hung from a log or rock that is way to far out to wade near. I feel like pulling really hard would just make it worse - so little pops? Thoughts. I understand I will loose some and that is the name of the game but any tips are appreciated.
  6. I also use a series 3700 box with dividers. They are grouped by style football, Swim, etc. Then by weight.
  7. Just curious as to why nearly all soft plastics come in a resealable bag and roboworms do not. I keep mine in a ziploc bag which is fine, just curious. Save money on packaging?
  8. I have done well with Rage Structure Bug, Tubes (especially Mizmo Roadkill) and D Bombs. Just picked up a few packs of Fuzzy Beaver for the heck of it.
  9. Saw these on TW and grabbed a pack - came today. Was wondering if you have used them and how you like to fish them (I'm sure they can be fished any number of ways) just curious what you like. I was thinking a shakey head because of the tail. T-Rig maybe a 4/0 hook? Thanks!
  10. No worries, I am new to fishing (just started regularly fishing this year). Actually other than the Berkley Havoc I randomly picked up I have only used KI FAT. They were recommened to me by my brother in law and they worked for me so I stuck with them. I was running low so I decided to try some new baits and maybe it will be a mistake but you will never know what works for you without trying others.
  11. I grabbed Riot Baits Streaker Swimbait, Netbait BK Swimbait, and Reaction Innovations Little Dipper (more to use as a trailer since its only 3.5"). Take a look here and see there are many others. I want to try - Bass Assassin Boss Shiner, Kicker Fish Tail Slapper & Roboworm Robo Minnow (although the Robo is even more expensive than the Keitech) - next time! http://www.***.com/Paddle_Tail_Swimbaits/catpage-PADDLETAIL.html Sorry if I am not aloud to link to this.
  12. I love these bait's as well. However, I like others use the FAT. I rig them 2 way mostly - a swimbait hook (Owner Weighted Twistlock or Owner Beast) - depends on the size bait I'm fishing or as a jig trailer. I did just buy some similar style bait off TW and they will be there today when I get home so I will try them this weekend. Cause they sure are expensive.
  13. Yes, I realize that - my sarcasm did't come through the internet - weird...
  14. I tried both these numbers but they were out of service - can you see if you have an updated number?
  15. I've only been night fishing a handful of times but dark colors seemed to work better for me. +1 for spinnerbaits.
  16. Clearly no one here knows the exact answer. Sorry for my ignorance but I was merely asking in peoples experiences who seems to own the pond/land. I was just trying to find out where to start. flyfisher & SirSnookalot seems to have given the best answer as there is no clear one - it just depends and every situation is different. I will just start asking and searching and see where it leads.
  17. Let me just re-ask my question as I haven't really received the answer I was looking for (I'm sure my wording was awful). Who owns it (the pond) - the company/person who owns the land? This is the part I am most interested in knowing. Does the homeowners association own the pond now or is it the builder who developed the land? The state? I fish on 2 private ponds and got permission before hand and have gotten turned down plenty - but in this case I don't know who (or is it whom) to ask. Thanks!
  18. Basically one question two areas. What do you think about fishing at the following locations - legally speaking. There are a few 'industrial' building not to far from me and they have a pond - do you think its ok to fish. Like the pond is on the far left side of a bunch of buildings. Who owns it - the company/person who owns the land? Same kind of question - the ponds they build after they put in a huge housing develpoment? As long as there is a no fishing or similar sign of course. Thoughts?
  19. Just wanted to make sure!
  20. So I like to stop at this small pond on my way home from work just to get and hour or so in. I was thinking today since its so warm out - should I be worried about my plastic baits melting or getting so warm they become deformed (sitting in my car). I try to leave my windows cracked - but there is no shade to park under. Thoughts?
  21. I really like the Flambeau one - it would be perfect for me! Thanks.
  22. Having trouble what to store my spinner baits in - all 3 of them at the moment, but more in due time. Do you use the plano spinnerbait boxes (or similar) they weem to have good reviews overall?
  23. I also would be interested in getting some of these (Weedless tube jig) but like doyle cannot locate them at BassPro or TW.
  24. How do you attach your's? Do you put the plastic on the eye of the trailer, or put it on after you put the trailer on so it swings freely?
  25. Southern Marylanders: Where do you all fish at? Does anyone know if Trinity Lake and Gilbert Pond (Not Gilbert Run Park) are public? Thanks!
