  1. The 3771, is 1.38" deep and the 3770 is 2". You can check them out at TW. The bait monkey has really hit me hard the last 6 months or so and I am just trying to reorganize everything. This series or model has the compartments at angles witch I thought would work well with the bills and jerkbait style baits - possibly less wasted space. Thanks for the advice. I know I'll have to keep adding more and more planos each year.
  2. I was looking to make a crankbait, jerkbait, & topwater box each. Anyone use them and if so how do you like them. It seems as though you could really save some space with the bills and shape of some of those baits. Is the 3771 deep enough for larger cranks? I would think for Jerkbaits and poppers & cigars it should work but wasn't sure. Or should I just stick with the same old utility box. As always any input is appreciated. Matt
  3. I've had my President for almost 2 years and that was my only combo until 3-4 months ago. I beat the heck out of it and honestly didn't keep up with the maintenance and it still runs like a champ. It needs a good cleaning but it has been great to me.
  4. I was thinking about breaking it down as you have said - shallow, med, deep, or similar. I am starting to build up my crank collection and until recently hasn't been to much of a problem but with all the companies and colors I am starting to lose track. I am not at the point where I can really tell by the bill shape/length alone, but I think with some attention to it in the future wouldn't be too hard to pick up.
  5. So how do you organize or remember what each crank you own dives to. I know Glenn said on one of his videos that he takes a sharpie and simply writes it on the bottom, curious what others do. Do you organize your storage box in a certain way? Thanks.
  6. It is both the 17th & 18th. Although the fine print still says last years dates underneath - but the 17 & 18 are a Sat/Sun. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cabin-Creek-Bassmasters/591343534262305
  7. Trent Dilfer doesn't get any love - he only played for the Ravens for that one season. Just goes to show an incredible D can win.
  8. That is a sweet looking bluegill. Never seen coloration like that before.
  9. It will be going on a NRX so yes weight is also an important factor, the Sustain is 1.5oz heavier. Good point!
  10. Man John, you really got me thinking about the Rareneium now. I don't own any JDM reels but people (some) seem to like them better than their US counterpart. That it is more refined or better tuned. I think I would go with the shallow spool for sure. Thanks for the heads up about the warranty - still not sure how I feel about that.
  11. Wow, I really like the look of that one. I am reading conflicting reports on weight and spool capacity. Some sites, Ebay and others as compared to the Shimano's site. What is the weight and capacity of the 1000 you have? http://fish.shimano.com.sg/publish/content/global_fish/en/sg/index/products/reels/spinning_reels/light_tackle_reel/Rarenium_ci4.html How do you like the reel? It looks almost identical to the US model - any differences you can speak of? The gear ratio is 5:1 as opposed to 6:1.
  12. Good for you - congrats!
  13. Thanks for the replies. While I would prefer it was silver and black as opposed to red and black I'm not $100 worried about it. I am definitely leaning towards the Stradic at the moment. They both hold the same amount of line as well. I was thinking of putting braid (20lb?) backing with a fluorocarbon leader mostly 8lb.
  14. Just checked it out myself - looks like a sweet bait. I'd also be interested in hearing from any first hand experience.
  15. So I recently bought a Loomis 852S and am debating what to pair it with. Currently looking at the Stradic CI4+ pretty hard. I also am considering the Sustain both in the 2500. Is there any reason to spend the extra ~$100. This rig will be for shakey heads, drop shot, weightless flukes & tubes as well as hair jigs. Also, any 'reviews' from people that own the Stradic are appreciated. I searched around the forum and most people that own one seem pretty happy with it. P.S - I saw that an almost brand new Stradic is in the flea market - just don't have the funds right now. Matt
  16. Just started using the SDJ about 6 months ago (from suggestions on this forum) and haven't looked back.
  17. What size did you get, I am planning on getting one before Spring and am split between it and the Sustain. I just don't think the Sustain is worth the extra $100. The + seems like a huge improvement over the previous ci4.
  18. Great seeing everyones loot. Hopefully I can get my post count up to 200 and join in the fun next year. Keep the pics coming!
  19. Never heard of the Ricos before, did a little research, man are they pricey for a popper. But the reviews say just how awesome they are. I might have to pick one up. I too am looking to improve my topwater game. Other than buzzbaits, I haven't been too successful.
  20. The anaconda is available in a 10".
  21. Thanks for all the suggestions. I really like the look of the Rage Andaconda (I like all the Rage products). Maybe I'll start with that and a pack of the Zoom Ol Monsters. Any tips on rigging (hook size) and how to fish them?
  22. The largest worm I currently use is the NetBait T-Mac 6.5" and it does well for me. I usually rig it on a shaky head or T-Rig. But next year I would like to get into fishing bigger worms maybe in the 10-12" range. What are some of your favorites? Does it only catch really large fish - I don't catch much above the 4-5lb range so I want to make sure it would be effective. I was looking at the Culprit Worm, Zoom Ol Monster, and a few others. Thanks.
  23. Can you explain this in depth a little more please - multi disk drag stack vs a simpler & how/why under 6lb drag is more(?) important? Thanks!
  24. I am looking to try the Uptons Reaper next year.
