  1. Thanks for the replies, mine (Blue Gill) should be here tomorrow and I have a 2 day club tournament this weekend and if the situation allows I'm going to throw it out there and see what happens.
  2. TW posted this on Facebook a few days ago - awesome by the way. But it seems it is a rare genetic mutation. You can read more on their Facebook page.
  3. So at the TW sale I picked up a buzzjet Jr. How do you guys fish them or similar style baits. Steady retrieve, pop it so it doves under for a second? Thanks, Matt
  4. Great news and thanks for the write up. You're right all the info I see says 10. $4.99 for 8 - is high by Berkley standards. I'll be sure to grab a few packs next time. I have my eyes on the GP Chart. and maybe a Watermelon as well as the old stand by - B&B Flk.
  5. Anybody use these yet? I like the power worms and wanted to see how these preform. Does the tail stand up? Thanks, Matt
  6. Here's to hoping you get it back!
  7. I have the Plano Elite 3707 Spinner & Buzz Bait Organizer and really like it. Holds a ton of spinnerbaits and a maybe 6-8 buzzbaits. You can really only fit a buzzbait every 2nd or 3rd slot on the buzzbait size due to the blades having to be tilted to fit in order to close. Once I figured out how to properly fit the spinners in, it has been great. Matt
  8. I'm not familiar with what you are referring to - care to elaborate?
  9. Yeah, picked up a One Bug as well.
  10. Well just got bit by the bait monkey, order a black bone shorty. Get them while they are in stock. Matt
  11. Dwight, I think its save to say that if you can't catch a fish on this jerkbait - no one can.
  12. Good to know, yes I saw alot of negative reviews especially regarding the bill breaking. I think you're right,m it probably has much more to do with the shape/pop/splash it gives than the baitball.
  13. I like the concept of these baits anyone use them? I'm mostly interested in the squarebills and jerkbaits, but all others are welcome. Let me know how they have fared for you. Thanks! Matt
  14. The puppies (3") have size 6 hooks. I like owner st-36 in most of my treble hook replacement needs.
  15. I agree with Dwight at the earliest Sunday but I would say Monday - it will last a few days so the bait monkey will have plenty of time to take over. A link on the homepage where (currently) have the Diawa rods/reels, keitech noisy flapper, Simms pro dry, it will show up there. Just click it and once you add an item the discount will show up in the cart.
  16. First welcome to BR. Tons of information and great people here. I'll make this quick as I have to go to work but look into a wire leader. Not sure how clear your water is. But it certainly will help eliminate those breaks offs by various toothy fish. Although I don't know how it would effect the action on weightless senkos.
  17. Heck of a fish! He certainly was feisty after he felt that net. Matt
  18. The Omnipotent jig.
  19. ^^^. Sweet combo man!
  20. I am just getting into fishing jerkbaits, but from what I hear/read it is mostly used as a clear water bait. In what water clarity do you stop throwing them (feet of clarity)? I would think they would still work in slightly stained water, but might not be as effective. What colors do you like for stained water. I bought a Shadow Rap in clown I thought would work. What about really dark colors, you don't see to often but how about black? Or is it simply there are better options for stained water. Thanks! Matt
  21. I, like others am a fan of the Crosstail shad and Roboworms. Also liking Reins bubble shaker and JP hammer shad.
  22. Buy one get 2 free - now thats a deal. Love me some flappin hogs!
  23. Bites are bites and some days I'll take anything I can get. Other days is nice just to get bit and know your are at least on some fish. What about dive to depth? Thanks!
  24. Anyone use this before, if so how do you like it ? Howdoes it ccompare to the 110 Jr. What have you found its dive depth to be, I have seen as shallow as 2' or as deep as 7'. Thanks Matt
  25. Good to hear Sam. I'm going up Fri-Sun with the tournament on Sunday. Looking forward to it as I've never fished the upper bay. Anything you care to share? Matt
