  1. Thank everyone, this is a bait in 2016 I really want to work on. I've caught fish here and there on it, but usually just grab my trusty spinnerbait and simply don't fish it enough. I'll just try a few and see what I like.
  2. Im open to suggestions. From searching it seemed to be a popular yrailer Along with rage menace and pitboss.
  3. I was thinking 4, 4.5 or 5". What do you guys use? Thanks
  4. Thanks everyone, seems I'll just keep it on. Good point @WRB
  5. Last year I put cheap mono backing on all my reels, any reason to replace it? I would think it could last a few seasons if not more. Thanks
  6. You overpaid.
  7. Awesome job. Love that middle color -kind of blue gill like.
  8. 13lb Sunline Defier Armilo
  9. Welcome, what part of MD?
  10. Thanks, any harm on it hitting other rod parts (not on purpose and would wipe clean after).
  11. I've heard really great things about this product. Was wondering how you apply it - paintbrush, old shirt, etc? How thick do you apply it? One coat? Anythingh else I should know? Thanks
  12. Awesome video Dan!!
  13. Thanks for the replies, I think they are worth a shot. Maybe a winner maybe not - but I'll let the fish tell me.
  14. Nice Goose! I've been at work since Friday morning, hopefully leaving tomorrow - haven't even thought about fishing....
  15. Awesome baits, my best producing squarebill this year! Added Fircraw this winter, should be deadly in Spring.
  16. At those weights, its best to go with the 704.
  17. I would have bought every Flappin Hog they had.
  18. Agreed, that shimmy on the way down - I'd eat it...
  19. Great pic!!!!!
  20. I purchased my Rarenium from them, so cool that they send the picture. Plus you get a progressively 'better' sticker color the more you buy! I've been waiting for them to get stock of a reel for a few weeks now.....
  21. I have a Core 100 and a 50 - I love mine, they are really nice reels.
  22. I bought the reel about a month or two ago. The rod came in a few weeks ago - arrived days after ordering. The reel has already seen the master Ian (although I just learned about super tuning not too long ago) and has upgraded gear ratio to 6.3 as well as drag and bearings. This combo will be my go to shallow cranking rod - Mann's 1-, MB 1.2, LC 1.5, you get the idea. Was a little worried about its ability to handle the lower end (1/4oz), but it threw a Mann's 1- plenty far in the yard. Few months and the on the water test will tell. I'll most likely spool it with 12lb sniper. http://s1067.photobucket.com/user/mattbfleming/library/Squarebill%20%20Combo
  23. I just bought a new rod specifically for topwaters and jerkbaits - its a 6'6" MF.
  24. Wow, I really like the look of that KC12. I too wouldn't be traveling too far its only a 250 acre lake. Weight is great and looks stable enough to stand on.
