  1. LOL let me know where you've seen one for $60 new...cheapest is $89 at Academy. I bought Coty's last night. Guiding Wolf on Sunday.
  2. If you're using anything >1 oz. I would hardly consider it punching. There aren't too many lakes here that would warrant anything over an ounce, to be honest. My tournament partner (well, he's more of just a stranger now...), won't use anything less than 1.25 oz. I've gotten 10:1 more bites with a 3/8, to 3/4 (on the high side). That's just where my confidence is. Don't get too caught up in trying your hardest to get through the thickest stuff with 1.5 oz tungsten. Find openings and flip on in. It can be done with less and I think you'll be happier with the results! Oh hey who's that guy?!
  3. Unfortunately as much of a finesse guy I am, Miola isn't the place for it. Those fish are up thick in the grass and you need to bring out the big sticks. But I've had no problem this year smoking fish there (and anywhere with comparable grass) with nothing more than a t-rigged beaver (D-Bomb, Rodent, or Pit Boss) on a 1/4 oz. tungsten. Sure you can throw a wacky rigged senko at the edges and pick off a few smaller fish, but the ones you want are in it. That's pretty much been my pattern this past month on any SFL we all fish.
  4. Mine is the "frame" case. Pretty slick. Access to everything and will attach to whatever mount you have. $10, do it. AND IT'S NAMED AFTER YOUR FAVORITE REEL. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=1116257&gclid=CLa90c_a_80CFQIcaQodi6MNVg&is=REG&ap=y&m=Y&c3api=1876%2C92051677562%2C&Q=&A=details
  5. That's what I do now. Just direct connected to my 12V with a 6' cord I got on Amazon. SO CONVENIENT AND EASY. Hoping Mozingo shows out this weekend when Keith and I have a 2 day EKB tourney there.
  6. It wasn't bad. I was off the water by 11:30 and the usual Wolf wind kept it bearable.
  7. Just get some from Clayton. The ZMan ones are absolute garbage.
  8. Don is doing my Wiper also.
  9. It's a stout brownie for sure!!!
  10. I'm just pulling a Rangerdanger..... The usual. Clinton trips and a Clinton tournament on Sunday. I'm not saying DJ and I are gonna win, but we're probably gonna win.
  11. No Ryan sorry a 4 pounder in the water is a 3 in the boat. Sorry looks 3.
  12. That's about the size that DJ lost boatside that night. Between 4-5.
  13. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much rip rap.
  14. Welll....it has for you.................
  15. Heck yeah he does. I've seen him more times since we started this season than I did all year last year!
  16. Yeah, this. Do the right thing.
  17. From Sunday morning's trip, probably caught 20 and had 5 keepers in a few hours. Will be a bit before big fish show themselves consistently. Eaters like these are always great. Give me a call if you want to get out, running an evening special right now.
  18. Might have just been a turd hitting the toilet water. PLOOOOOOOOOOOOSH
  19. Piggybacking @conorsixtakc. Shameless photo dump. Weekend off guiding, really needed this. Fished a new spot and didn't disappoint. Barely had to move more than 75 yards in 6.5 hours. And didn't have to deal with not one white or drum the entire time. #allbrowneverything
  20. I thought so but had to check anyway
  21. Mine's tied on. Who the hell would punch with flouro?
  22. Gonna be at least a month before it rebounds. Which is weird because last year it took no time at all, really. But that may have been due to the extreme rains we got after they treated it which drained off most of the slop still remaining.
  23. My first Kansas bass after moving here from Wisconsin was from SMP. I was like 12, and it was well over 5 lbs. Second cast, chart spinnerbait right at the well/intake off the dam.
