  1. I’ve got that blank and love it I haven’t thrown a spinnerbait on it but I think it would work good
  2. They look great what blanks are they?
  3. Very good guy to deal with and will take care of you
  4. Im very happy with my Immortal blanks so I'm curious to see where this goes
  5. I haven't thrown any hudds on it yet but I've been super happy with it on every bait I've thrown.
  6. I did my triton 176 magnum and it looked good 2 years later when I sold it, I used 3m Di-NOC
  7. Thanks I don't get into the fancy stuff to much I just like building rods that perform.
  8. Thanks I love the grip its super sensitive and has good grip. I run the same thing on my jig rods with split grips and I feel like I can feel everything Its rated for 2-6oz
  9. Ive been getting into swim baits and umbrella rigs lately so I thought it was time for a rod dedicated to it, I've been using a flipping stick and it just wears ya down. I chose a Rainshadow Revelation 7'10" MH Swimbait blank, Forecast 14" carbon tex handle, Alps MVT real seat with carbon fiber hood, Alps Medium MXN Titanium guides. I am super happy with this rod and have caught a few decent fish since the build. I didn't get into any fancy wraps just a nice performing rod. FullSizeRender.jpg_6
  10. Thanks I was honored to be able to take him fishing and it was great for Batson Enterprises and Team Rainshadow to step up donate everything for the build.
  11. Mike @ DVT is a stand up guy that will get you hooked up and I really like the Rainshadow Eternity blanks

  13. Thanks I really enjoyed this project!
  14. He was pumped when he felt that beast on his line. I kept telling him to hold on if one of them bites haha
  15. Looks awesome I've gotta try one of those tiger wraps!
  16. haha sorry didn't mean it like I'm glad someone liked it. I was honored and proud to do the rod, it got a lot of attention and complements. Thanks for your service! I really stressed over that wrap and was worried I couldn't do it but I surprised myself once I dove into it. I was happy how it turned out for my first one.
  17. So I recently donated my boat and services to a Take a Soldier Fishing tournament on Oneida lake over the past weekend. I wanted to do something special so I contacted Rainshadow and they were awesome and got everything right out to me. I chose the Revelation 6'8" med fast spinning rod figuring it was a pretty universal rod any one could use, I wasn't sure who I would be paired with our they're fishing background. I scratched my head for some days trying to figure out how to go about the build and to tie it all in. I ended up finding a design I liked and had to give it a shot, I've never messed with any olive branches and this was my 6th build so I was nervous. Overall the rod turned out awesome I paired it with a Pflueger President reel and it really drew some attention. Well, little did I know I would be handing the rod out in front of 250-300 people during the morning breifing, my soldier had no clue what was going on he was a young guy from Tennessee. So when I called his name and he came up to receive the rod the look on his face made my day and the whole thing worth it. He was amazed and in shock the rod was for him. So after that we head to the boat and go to launch he's never been in a bass boat but loved to fish so I knew we were gonna have a good day. We blasted off and headed to our beginning spot, he had a smile from ear to ear as we ripped across the lake. It didn't take us long to get into some fish, he ended up landing his personal best smallmouth and his first pickerel. We didn't win any prizes but man we had some fun and ill be doing the event again next year for sure. If anyone is around the NY area the event is really a good time and they really take care of you. They had coffee and doughnuts in the morning, had a launch service all you had to do was hop in the boat they did the rest, we came back to a killer bbq and tons off giveaways. It felt so good to give back a little to the guys that protect this great country and make it possible to do the things we do.
  18. Looks awesome I've been debating on trying some Eternities
  19. You may not save money but you will end up with a better rod in the end. look down the guides on your rod and see how many are actually straight, look at the quality of the epoxy and thread work. Once you get into building you will notice all this stuff.
  20. Thats what I was wondering on the reel seat thanks Ghoti, i have big hands so I like the fuji ecs seat.
  21. I talk to Mike a decent amount hes a good dude and live about 2 hrs from me. How do you like that Toray seat is it worth the money and more sensitive? Ive been thinking about doing a spiral wrap and seeing how I like it I see its a personal preference thing.
  22. I have one waiting for guides to come in now ill look into them thanks and i haven't touched a Rage only the Mojo and Triumph
  23. Thast why I'm asking I'm new to the game and have only built on MHX. I was looking at the st croix but the color choices really blow in my opinion I like natural blanks.
  24. So what would your pick be then? i used a gloom is gl2 854c all last year and was working around those permitters. The other blank i was looking at was the MHX High-Mod Gen II Mag Taper Rod Blank MB874
