  1. Had my best day so far at lox today. Got out to my favorite spot around 630, just as the sun was starting to rise. Between me and my friend, we caught a 5.5lb, 3lb, 2.5lb, and a bunch of small ones. The bite was much stronger today, the fish seemed to be a little more aggressive than the last few times. Was using senko's and zoom u tail worms. AND On the way into lox, there was a flats boat leaving, they were one of the lucky few who got gator tags out there. Had a nice 10.5ft gator on the boat.
  2. Welcome, from a fellow South Floridian.

  4. I will have to do some more exploring out there in the flats to find more places like that.
  5. The water level was high enough to get through the flats , a few spots were pretty thick and I had to clean off the prop. I found one spot in the middle of the flats that had a lot of hard bottom with and almost no thick vegetation, that's where most of the caught fish came from. Going to try there again. I will give the canals a shot again, had no luck last time. Another friend of mine and I will be launching our boats again this Sunday around 0600. Anyone else going out this Sunday?
  6. Fished yesterday at lox. Got on the water just before sunrise. Weather held up nice, beautiful day, just got hot real fast. Caught 5 small bass under a pound, a one pounder, and a nice 3.5 pound bass. The small bass were all caught on senkos, and the bigger ones were on a zoom super fluke. The bite stopped pretty early, by 0900 it was almost mon existent. Moved from the flats to the canal channel and tried the fluke, senko, and flipping a creature bait along the banks locks, and cover. Nothing bit. Anyone willing to share what they have found the bass are hitting out at lox or best areas to go once it starts to get hot?
  7. Thanks for the warm welcome! I think this is the only forum I have seen so far without people bashing each other. Nice change. I'll be going out to Loxahatchee on Sunday, will use some of the tips I've read. Hopefully I can out fish the other guys going with me!
  8. Going out to loxahatchee on Sunday for the first time with my boat. Have only fished a few times out there on friends boats. Have two other friends coming with their boats for a little competition. Pretty excited. Anyone have any advice for fishing lox during the summer? Besides watch out for storms haha.
  9. Hello forum, I am new to this site. I am in the north Broward/south Palm Beach area. I have been bass fishing for years, but finally got my first boat last month. It's a Randall craft 14.5' trihull with a Johnson tracker 40HP on the back and is running great. I have been fishing in Lake Ida and lox. I found this site and forum a few days ago and have already gained some good knowledge and tips. Hope to learn some more. Thanks.
