  3. Yes there is a red piece that has came lose it happen on mine a couple years ago. Take the side plat off and you will see the round red piece that hold the spool in, just tighten it up but loosen the tension knob first, then reset it.
  4. I own five of the Carrot stix, 3 are the wild and 2 are the pro models I have had the wilds for about 4or5 years and I love them never had any trouble at all with them.
  5. I have five Carrot sticks 4 are the gold and one is the pro. I have had them any where from five years to the news 3 years. I have not had any trouble with any of them. I have a few other rods but I don't use them much. I like the carrot sticks a lot. Maybe I should state that 90 percent of my fishing is beating the brush bank fishing.
  6. Thank for the reply's and I will keeping trying it until I get the to bite. I will work on my sneakiness. Thanks Dave
  7. I fish a couple retention ponds one of them has under water weeds that are dying out and the other has no cover. Both have pretty clear water and I can see the bass swimming around the pond about 3-4 foot out from the bank and maybe 2/3 foot of water the max death of the ponds is maybe 8 to10 foot. Some time they are in groups of 4 to 15 fish but I can not get them to bite on anything. This just started getting this way as far as not biting in the last 2 weeks or so. DO you think it could be do to the cooler weather that we are having. I have tried plastics , spinners, jigs, cranks, rattle traps, frogs, top water baits, just can't get them to hit. There is tons of small fry's swimming all around the bank and it looks like they are guarding them. Dave377
  8. Thanks for the reply and I will try rigging it a little better and see how it works. Dave377
  9. Why does my rage toad want to swim up side down when reeling it in. I been using a #4 hook and I tried a couple different hooks, like the screw lock and offset worm. Thanks
