  1. Shaky head = light line, finesse style baits that I feel I can get use when the bite is tough to get a bite. Texas rig = bigger line, casted or pitched into heavier cover and usually a large profile bait. This is how I do it, I always have both tied on.
  2. That bait is a smack in the face to true swimbaits.
  3. Yea wish I could be out there everyday too. I guess besides a lot of time on the water try throwing some big swimbaits. Don't know if you have any or any gear that can handle them, but this is a sure way to catch a good fish. Deps 175/250, 68 or 8" hudd, and mg favorite the MS slammer. If you haven't looked into swimbaits I highly advise it.
  4. Honestly the best advice is to fish as much as possible. At this point in time in bass fishing there is really no secrets. Nothing can help you more than time on the water.
  5. Yea I'm not crazy about real moderate rods, infact I've never cranked with a cranking rod I used a worm and jig KLX but they are a little soft for a worm rod.
  6. Thanks guys had to sale all my kistlers, even my zbone? But I'm rebuilding now and have two fury swimbait rods and like them so I thought I'd go with the fury series.
  7. About to buy a few furys. I was wandering if the 703 would work ok for primary topwater rod but also a shallow mid depth cranking rod. If not I'm going to get the 705cb but they have some refurbished 703s, have heard it has a soft tip.
  8. A setup I've been wanting for a while now. Awesome shaky head setup! 7' medium extra fast Zbone Lews team lite 7.5.1
  9. Have caught a lot of fish with one on my shaky head setup has never let me down.
  10. New Rage tail swimmer can be fished slow, I have played with it a lot in the pool.
  11. Yea your exactly right. For that kind of I agree I would probably go custom, but any rod associated with Gary Loomis is a win IMO.
  12. I vote use the bed rig also, I hate having to use it but it catches fish.
  13. Kistler also uses nfc blanks.
  14. Light line and a drop shot with a long tag line would be my choice.
  15. Haven't heard of any problems with this reel. Are you sure you have it dialed in just right ?
