  1. I've caught 24" fish that range from 6.5 to 9 lbs. based on the picture I would say around 8, nice fish!
  2. Nice 8lb 13oz winter stud on Stryker 3/8 oz swim jig with keitech swimbait as a trailer
  3. A great reel for 60 bucks is the H20 Mettle, I was very pleased with mine until it became a victim of hitting wake too fast. It's a 6.3:1, a great all around gear ratio.
  4. I used a tool on this website and took proper measurements... I did this because my scale is at the bottom of a pond. So sorry that upsets some people...
  5. Not sure how long my reel is but I have fairly large hands my index finger is 4.25 inches, I'm about 6'3
  6. I wish I knew for sure, unfortunately my scale is at the bottom of that same pond. She was about 27.75 long and right at 15.75 girth
  7. Only fish of the day, probably my PB. Right at 27.75 inches long, for some reason she was just now spawning. Gotta love pond fishing!
  8. I've been doing well fishing thermoclines in deeper water, using deep diving cranks. Fishing over brushpiles with spinnerbaits has produced for me as well. Hope this helps.
  9. All I had was the top of a cooler, wish I could've measured girth. Believe it or not it was just a of noon on a white spinnerbait in 25 feet of water over a submerged rock pile. Thanks!
  10. I caught my last 2 PB's on a white spinnerbait, and both within the last month
  11. Here is a picture, thanks for the replies!
  12. This is my new PB, it was just a hair over 26.5 inches long. I don't have a scale, but will be buying one now lol. Does anyone have an estimate on weight?? Thanks!
  13. They are great, perfect for a day in the field hunting
  14. FIshing off of a dock at a timeshare in Bath NC in the Pamlico river, trying to catch some striper that were on a run. Earlier in the day I had caught a 80 lb ray, and saw a bull snap a guys flounder line. I was sitting back in a chair with a nice hunk of bait tossed out there. Had the rod in my hands, something took it with a vengeance and pulled me off the dock into the water. The water there is only three feet deep right at the dock, but none the less rays sit there under the dock. Scariest moment ever while I've been fishing.
  15. I've got some Costa Tuna Alley's with the 580P blue mirror, and mossy oak shadow grass camo. Great for duck hunting too, have yet to fall of from recoil, and everything is crystal clear.
  16. I will be going on a trip to Lake Lure during late March with my family, and I was wondering if anyone on here has fished it before?
  17. I'm between Garner and Raleigh.
  18. I recently picked up 2 large jitterbugs and 2 small jitterbugs in black. As most everyone knows, the hooks that come on them are trash. I don't have any experience with replacing hooks on lures, so does anybody have any suggestions as to what hook?
  19. I personally just make sure that I have frogs with a white belly and frogs with a black belly. I really like the Spro frogs, but I have had problems sit a couple of them sinking in the past.
  20. For many anglers, this may sound ridiculous. But the mattlures ultimate bluegill because it's too expensive. It would definitely be worth it, I have used one, but too expensive.
  21. For a while I shot around on the 3 gun circuit, but recently I've been shooting more benchrest rifle matches.
  22. Hey everyone! I'm new on here. I am a passionate bass angler, I fish 3 to 4 times a week. I have a fishing Kayak I use mostly on the weekends, and during the week I fish ponds from the bank when I can. A bit off topic, but I have been a competition shooter for several years now. Thanks!
