  1. From the back deck too! As a co-angler myself, this always brings a smile to my face. Congrats on the pig!!
  2. Beautiful combo! Thanks for the write up.
  3. Too rich for my blood. Whenever the used market for them comes down to around $300, I may consider one.
  4. Welcome! I'm originally from Bedford.
  5. Ditto, on both points.
  6. Ditto.
  7. That's awesome! Congrats.
  8. I see what he did there...
  9. I like the color of it for topwater. Blue should blend into the sky better than the dark green (in theory).
  10. I saw this the other day. Pretty amazing stuff from those electronics. Those images where he could see that the windows were down and he could see the seat were amazing.
  11. I see this issue fairly often with the larger bass up in Canada. It just comes with the territory of topwater lures. I was going to suggest a LC Sammy because they are tail weighted and the bottom half of the bait is down in the water when at rest, more so than the Heddon Spook.
  12. I keep them in the manufacturing clamshell packaging. It's just something that comes with the territory.
  13. For poppers and buzzbaits, I'd choose are 6'6" to 7' rod in a M or MH power, depending on the weight of the lures you throw and the cover you fish around. For baits like those, there's really no need to spend money on a top dollar rod because sensitivity isn't overly important.
  14. Absolutely. And just like 1201 said, replacing those factory hooks is a must. The one's they use now-a-days foul up almost every cast.
  15. The EMTF is definitely a bottom contact bait rod. However, I'm going to have to disagree with Junger on the rod being able to handle baits up to 1.5oz. I don't use over 5/8-3/4oz in total weight on my EMTF. It's great for using 1/4-3/8oz jigs with a trailer on them, but I would certainly never even think about using something an ounce or more on this rod.
  16. Looking great Mike! Keep up the great work.
  17. Heat and sunlight cause this. The old pre-Rapala Wiggle Warts are notorious for having this and bloat. I keep those babies guarded like they're my own child whenever I'm out on a hot, sunny day.
  18. Hey Ben, I'll be up in Brockport in two weeks chasing salmon. You have a ton of creeks around you just off of Lake Ontario that are full of salmon right now. I'd suggest talking to @clayton86. He lives local to you and may be able to help.
  19. Since the Keitech craze has caught on, there are a ton of great Keitech imitators. Some of them being: Eco Pro Swing Shad Jackall Rythym Wave SK Rage Swimmer BPS Speed Shad Biospawn Exoswim Netbait Spanky Reaction Innovation Dipper Series Lake Fork Magic Shad Series However, if you desire a more durable plastic, you're going to lose some action, particularly at slower retrieves and in colder water temperatures. Take any of the above baits and a Keitech and drag them beside the boat at slow and fast speeds. You'll quickly see the difference in actions when the baits are moving at a slower speed.
  20. Too many deep diving jerkbaits... You need 10 more shallow diving jerkbaits to balance out your tackle box. - Bait Monkey
  21. I've been on numerous week long trips where it rained nearly every day and I fished through it all. I've found that my Shimano's needed a little drop of oil on the brake drum more often than usual, but I have never noticed any other side effects from the rain.
  22. The DT does well around rocks for me. As with any Crank with treble hooks, you're going to have more trouble around wood, but the juice is worth the squeeze as they say.
  23. I'm pretty sure everything is illegal in California, including plastic straws. So....
  24. I caught my PB walleye on that exact lure/color.
