  1. The tail looks different between those two fish, especially for being only 6 days apart.
  2. Netbait Spanky's. Great size, price, and colors for using as a trailer.
  3. I don't know that anyone here has place in BASS. I know one of the guys here has won some prizes in the FLW FF before. It's open to anyone here! We'd love to have you! The more the merrier. Last year I believe we had 83 members battling it out for the grand prize. Each year, @Glenn pays out Circuit City gift cards to the top player. Already got it saved in my phone. I'll create the group again and make an "Official" thread on here.
  4. That photoshop job on their website hurts my eyes... How do you release a brand new $150 product and have only one photo and it looks like that?
  5. From a kayak? Go on a calm day and bed fish. Wind, waves, and wakes are very dangerous on Erie.
  6. Looks like BASS is listening to the elites who stuck around. What are your thoughts on this? https://m.bassmaster.com/news/bass-announces-angler-motivated-rules-changes
  7. The BPS one's are so so. I like using them when I go pond hopping and don't want to use my expensive Keitechs on fish that would likely bite whatever I threw. I have had times where the Rhythm Wave outfished my buddy who was throwing Keitechs. As with everything in fishing, you're better off having different options and seeing which one the fish prefer that day.
  8. That's so good to hear! Hopefully everyone is responsible with the lake and what they keep and the fish in your lake keep growing and growing. We have a lake around here that I have a feeling will be rebounding. It's a really clear 300+ acre lake on top of a mountain that has a ton of heavy weed growth in it, but the lake is full of 5-7 pounders if you know how to fish it. A majority of the lake is only 3-6' deep and other than the main creek channel and right by the dam, it's fairly shallow. However, this fall the fish & boat commission found a leak in the dam and had to draw the lake down drastically in order to fix the leak. From what I've heard, the dam has already been repaired and is filling back up. I just hope that the fish didn't get washed down the outflow whenever they drew the lake down to basically a creek.
  9. Not everybody can catch 10 pound 'bows in their driveway @J Francho
  10. Without a kayak or wading, frogging and fluking sounds like a good approach. But I'm with @Catt, flipping/punching.
  11. I'll look for the Lime Purple Passion. I was checking out the Skywalker and Green Haze patterns. They look like decent gill imitators as well. There's quite a few blue variants if I remember correctly. I'll look for that Sapphire Blue.
  12. If you're not throwing a sniper jig, are you really even a bass fisherman?
  13. He was one of the names I remember posting in that thread. I'll wait for his comment.
  14. I was just going to create this thread. Glad that everyone is excited to do this again! I'll create the group on Bassmaster once they open it up. The first tournament is exactly a month away boys!
  15. Welcome aboard? What part of Canada are you from? I've fished all around Ontario for most of my life.
  16. I remember a thread a while back, but I can't seem to find it now. The thread was talking about discontinued/desirable Pit Boss colors that guys can no longer get. I recently came across a shop with a large supply of older Havoc Pit Bosses in an array of colors. What colors are you Pit Boss guys looking for? I'll see if I can help you guys out.
  17. I bought 3 HMG's and my father bought 2 HMG's about 4 years ago or so. Good little rods for the money at first. They have however proven to not hold up the best. We have broken guides off on 3 of those 5 rods though. The guide feet on these rods are very weak and a definite problem area. I've heard that Fenwick has revised these rods since then, so hopefully they fixed that issue. I also have a HMX that I bought as a backup for whenever I go to NY salmon fishing in the streams. However, that rod is still wrapped up and new and I haven't had to use it yet.
  18. So glad to hear that you are doing better now. We were all very concerned for you. Keep us updated on your progress and hopefully you can be back out on the water after ice out.
  19. Was this in store? Because I'm not seeing in on their website.
  20. I've caught fish in the spring not long after ice out on a chatterbait. Water probably in the low/mid 40's.
  21. I have two Berkley line spooling stations. One is in the original packaging and is portable. The other I have modified it to be attached to my work bench in my garage so I can spool my reels up at home. It's pretty handy.
  22. Yep, I love those little tip covers they use. I went a different route instead of emailing, I just bought a bunch of their rods instead ?
  23. Just some food for thought - I own that same model that you just broke and I'm pretty sure those models carry a 3 year warranty with Abu. Perhaps you should contact them about getting a replacement? (800) 228-4272 http://www.abugarcia.com/AbuGarcia-warranty.html They might be closed for the holidays this week, but I'd give them a ring next week.
  24. Mann 1- and the Evergreen CR-1
  25. That seats for my future fishing buddy
