  1. Looks like a good mold. Are you going to paint it?
  2. Looks like they got more of them in stock. I needed a set about a month ago and they were sold out of LH gears. I ended up buying a new Curado K, swapping out the gears, and then selling off the Curado with the stock Metanium gears in it.
  3. I bet it holds the same price point that we've always seen the Metanium at ~$420
  4. Perhaps a message board full of fishermen isn't the best resource to ask how to start a business or how much it costs...
  5. My Huk Next Level suit has been holding up great for the last 2-3 seasons I've had it. Highly recommend it.
  6. Pictures have dropped. Left: Metanium MGL aluminum gear Right: 2020 Metanium brass gear Left: 2020 Metanium Right: Metanium MGL
  7. We're up to 20 guys in the group. Keep signing up guys. We've still got 23 days before the first event to get your team registered.
  8. The old black/red IMX rods were discontinued around 2015/16 if my memory serves me correct. Because you're looking at one of the "classic" style IMX's, it could have been discontinued even longer ago. If you've looked around at all lately, you'll notice that 6' casting rods are basically a thing of the past for the past 8+ years. If a 6' rod in only a 2 power is something that you can truly utilize in your fishing style, then I would snag it up before you can no longer get it. Me personally, the only rods I use under 7' these days are my jerkbait rods, and even then those are 6'6" and 6'10".
  9. If it's a core frame like the Bantam, but it's stretched out like the Met MGL, then I'll probably be selling a few reels and replacing them with these.
  10. To completely switch over? 20+ years minimum.
  11. The one thing I would consider a disadvantage when using a spinning rod for swim jigs is line weight. 6-8 pound line is not what I want when fishing around heavy weeds and/or wood/rocks. With that being said, a M or MH powered spinning rod should fish just fine as long as the total weight of the jig/trailer isn't too heavy.
  12. You only get better with more experience. Even then, it can be a crap shoot. I've been running this league on here for ~4 years now I believe, and I still don't think I've ever finished in the top 5 overall for our group, despite usually finishing in the 90+ percentile on BASS. I just hope that one day, someone from this site can win a sweet prize package from one of the events.
  13. Great videos, James. A lipless bait is tough to beat in cooler water.
  14. I've had one of these for about 5 years now and it's still going strong. I think I've only replaced the batteries once.
  15. That's a pretty sweet prize package if you ask me. Allowing more guys to win prizes is always a plus in my book.
  16. You mean you don't think Feider, Hartman, and Mueller are going to be at the top of the heap?
  17. Each event, you pick 5 guys for your roster. There are 5 buckets of guys to choose from, so you try to pick who you think will do best in that bucket. So 10 total events between February and August that you'll need to select a roster for. Certainly not as grueling as doing fantasy football or baseball.
  18. I was just going to say - search fleaBay for 1oz or 2oz jars. I bought a 4 pack for around $5 or $6 shipped.
  19. For what you're throwing, a standard 7' MH powered rod with a fast action tip will work perfect for you. I'd recommend the Dobyns 734 for what you're trying to do. It's a great do it all rod. You can buy this rod in the lineup that suits your budget.
  20. The time has come for the 2020 Fantasy Fishing season to begin. For those unfamiliar, we have been doing this for a few years now as a fun way to compete and have a little fun among all our members. Do you think you have what it takes to take home 1st place for the season? Group Name: BassResource Password: BR2020 We encourage all members to play along. Just pick your anglers prior to each BASS Elite event and share them (or don't) with the group. It's all part of the fun!
  21. Vibrating tongue piercing.... Oh the possibilities...
  22. I just bought some new glass as well. I looked at the Vortex lines and they come highly recommended, but I just didn't feel comfortable buying from a new company that makes their scopes in Asia. I'm glad you didn't go with Leupold. They seem to have really dropped the quality of their lower end scopes, and they are charging upwards of $600 for scopes that have all the bells and whistles that you want, but they still have the same glass as their $200 scopes. And I have to agree with you @Way2slow. Bushnell has really stepped up and revamped their entire scope lineup. I snagged a Nitro 3-12x44 for my one deer rifle.
  23. Cost of a peg/bobber stop - <1 cent each Cost of half a skirt tab - .12 to .18 cents each Now if you were rigging up a punch skirt style weight with an actual skirt on it, that makes a little more sense if you're going for a bulkier profile.
  24. This line came out at iCast last year. I've seen it listed for sale at a few websites, but it's always out of stock. Looks like they're finally getting this stuff on the shelves of stores.
  25. I don't keep up with them, but from what I've read around online, some part of their deal with Favorite went sour and they all ended up leaving.
