  1. In all seriousness. When I'm on a cranking bite, its common for me to have a squarebill, DT6, DT10, and rattle trap rod all tied up. If a texas rig or jig bite is the ticket, it's common for me to have a 3/16oz and a 3/8oz version rigged up.
  2. You mean to tell me you guys don't all carry 4 jig rods with you? 1 Green Pumpkin 1 Black Blue 1 PB&J 1 Watermelon
  3. Everyone on here wondering where money comes from should do some research... https://www.bassmaster.com/elite/news/bassmaster-expands-live-coverage-on-fox-fs1-for-2025-season/
  4. Bother me - yes Keep me from using the best products on the market - no
  5. I'd imagine this is a dagger in the attempt of burying "that other league" for good. Time will tell if this is for better or worse of BASS and the sport overall.
  6. Deer activity has really picked up the past week and a half here. I've got 3 really nice bucks that have come through that I didn't see throughout the late summer and earlier fall months.
  7. Sounds like a do-all setup. Me personally, I would run 14lb fluorocarbon because it better covers the majority of the applications you listed. Since you are only going to use it for "some" topwater use, it will work just fine for throwing a buzzbait around on the occasions that you are going to throw topwater. I've had plenty of success using FC to throw buzzbaits. You'll have to skip other topwater presentations (or get another setup) if you want to throw poppers, spooks, etc.
  8. https://www.bassmaster.com/anglers/ This is where it will be posted. It's still showing 2024 for now. There's going to be a number of guys dropping out, at least 2 coming back from MLF, and then a few moving up from the Opens.
  9. Color code number is 68. WW68 is the official code since it is a mag wart.
  10. Cliff's Black Label baits are top notch. I fish a number of them.
  11. Imagine if you lived inside your favorite steakhouse. You're still only going to eat whenever you're hungry.
  12. I only throw one color on topwater as it is... ⚫
  13. Stradic is your answer then. Go with the Miravel if you want to save a few dollars for line and some baits. 2500 size is a perfect all around size.
  14. All of them. Seriously though. Shimano has always had an excellent reputation in the reel market. Can you tell us what your budget is? Are you looking at a baitcaster or spinning reel?
  15. Nothing odd at all about them. They've just streamlined the tungsten around the eyelet to make them as weedless as possible. Tie your regular knot and you're good.
  16. We've got a bear on camera who keeps playing with our trail cams. He is the biggest thing on the list to eliminate right now. As far as deer, I usually like 1-2 deer for meat. I'm fine if that's only does. All the bucks I've had on camera this year (cameras have been up a month) are pretty small and not something I would shoot. I had one show up earlier this week that had a massive body but I couldn't make out how big his antlers were with how the angle was of the photo. Hopefully some bigger bucks start coming in once the crops start getting picked and the rut begins.
  17. Dip them back in the water for a few seconds while still holding that lower lip. Let them keep their gills wet. Estimating a weight is much easier to do whenever you have a length than it is from taking an awkward selfie with the fish. Personal bests are made to be broken. Here's to hoping it happens again soon.
  18. Looks like you have a pretty nice setup with some money invested. Looks like you have everything a guy needs except a ruler board or electronic scale.
  19. I could be wrong. It is odd wording to say "Only one electric motor allowed per boat" whenever you have shallow water anchors that are electric motor controlled. Perhaps they should have said "One electric propulsion motor per boat".
  20. Only one electric motor allowed per boat. That eliminates power poles, assuming guys want to have a trolling motor.
  21. The most interesting part to me is no more power poles. That one has me scratching my head more than anything.
  22. I just had to Google what the NPFL was...
  23. I like it!
  24. Keel weighted swimbaits and flukes will be your best friend.
