  1. How drawn down in the lake still? I saw it was about 6 feet or so about 2 weeks ago.
  2. Looks cool in the photo's. From my past experiences with aurora anodized aluminum, it looks terrible the second you start getting fingerprints all over it.
  3. Most of the lakes are still mostly frozen. Some of the smaller ponds are barely thawed out or are only thawed out where there is moving water coming in/out.
  4. If you can spend a hair more, the St. Croix Musky Mojo rods are a nice option at about $150.
  5. Is that an old Berkley Frenzy?! I haven't thrown one of those in years. I've probably still got a bunch stashed away somewhere.
  6. If you're asking for a brand or model, check out the Dobyns Champion and St. Croix avid. Those are two of my favorites. Both are excellent rods that come with an excellent warranty as well.
  7. I'm personally a fan of both.
  8. I would guess spring turnover
  9. I agree with alone. If that school was feeding for 3 hours, they likely had full bellies. Time to move and find another school. Come back the next day at the same time and try it again.
  10. Check out the Shimano Brenious. You'll have to order it straight from Japan, but its designed specifically for lightweight baits.
  11. Go with the 36. The 41's are a heavier gauge wire.
  12. 2-3
  13. I live in Pittsburgh. I went to a local pond Thursday last week and was able to walk on the 6" of ice. I went back last night and the entire thing was open. Spring is coming!
  14. Welcome. I grew up in Bedford county.
  15. 58-65* water is about the magic number.
  16. We had a similar situation here in PA last year because we had such a long winter, and then it quickly became summer almost. I remember going to the lake one weekend at the water was 48, the following weekend it was 52, the next weekend it was 49, the following weekend it was 58, and the next weekend it shot up to 68. So in two weeks we had a 20 degree hike in water temperature.
  17. The perch and bluegill colors have worked well for me in all colors of water. I have a cousin who custom paints lures and I have him doing me up some 10 and 16's to mimic this Rat'L Trap color for those muddy water lakes.
  18. Haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure 3-4 of them will find their way into my box.
  19. Considering a good spool of FC is $20-30, and the fact that I have over a dozen reels, I'll gladly spend the $8 on the KVD Line and Lure conditioner, than risk using some foreign substance not designed for fishing line and reels. Those little bottles easily last me 2 seasons.
  20. Can any of the locals confirm if Stonewall is open yet? It's about a 2 hour drive for me, so I'd like to know for sure before I make the trip down 79.
  21. Just curious where you found soft water? Is Stonewall Jackson open?
  22. I use 1/4 and 3/8 pretty much exclusively in Cavitrons. I mean buzzbaits.
  23. Small world. Rochester is about 5 minutes down the road from me. Congrats Charles.
  24. I'm just over the state border in Cranberry
