  1. Friendly reminder - 2 days to make your picks before the big dance. Lets go!
  2. That's awesome, Jake. Congrats!!
  3. I apologize for not responding here sooner. I've been out of town on a business trip. Another event is in the books for the 2022 season. Congrats to Buddy Gross for pulling out the win. I don't think many people saw that happening. Our next event is the Classic. So you will see a much smaller field and some names that you don't recognize. Best of luck doing research and making picks. You have a little over 9 days to make your picks currently. Our current top 5 in the group is: PBuckley63 Lezm001 BassNJake STXHooker Ratman46
  4. Fantasy page is down for me. I don't remember who all I picked other than I know I have Lester.
  5. 14 hours to make your picks. Get them in !
  6. 1 day and 14 hours to make picks, as of the time of this post. Do that research and make those picks!
  7. Half of a Senko. It's much more subtle but still gives an overall baitfish profile.
  8. For me, its the DT series and the old Mann's Baby 1-.
  9. The first event at St. Johns is in the books and man, what an event for John Crews. Wire to wire win, including that 28 pound bag on day one. We had 58 guys play along for the first event, which is awesome. Here is our top 5 in the group after the first event: 1 - PBuckley63 2 - ryekel 3 - FishslayerRI 4 - cecole 5 - Nittygritty Now don't fall asleep already. We have the Harris Chain event starting in just 3 days, so get those picks made now!
  10. I have two of them and absolutely love them. Highly recommend them and the Bantam both.
  11. One cool thing I just noticed. Your Fantasy points update in real time based on the BassTrak, rather than waiting until the official weigh in has concluded. Today I jumped from the 80th percentile up to the 94th (approximately).
  12. For those who didn't catch it yesterday during the first day of the Elite event on the St. Johns River, Paul Mueller had a run in with an owl while fishing. Check out the footage of this. https://www.bassmaster.com/blog/owl-reaches-out-touches-mueller
  13. I'm in the 80th percentile after day one. Martin and Hudnall were big let downs for me. Hopefully they can turn it around today.
  14. Crews with 28-0. Good lord. This could be a total slugfest if he can maintain that all week.
  15. I was just going to comment the same things. A single, one pound dink isn't the return that he probably imagined. Currently 2:11PM. Says his most recent update was 2:08PM. Doesn't appear to be a Basstrak update error.
  16. My boy John Crews already out to an early lead with around 23 pounds by lunch time!
  17. We are officially under way for the 2022 season! Here's my picks: Walters Crews Martin Hudnall Clouse
  18. This week is the week. Get those picks in now! If you haven't joined the league yet, do it now!!!
  19. This is the same reason why they make Cadillac's, and they make Kia's. Both will get the job done. Spend your dollars however you want.
  20. You might see a simple swimbait jighead, but consider what all goes into a jighead. And this is coming from the mind of a guy who builds his own baits, so keep that in mind when you hear me talk about the work that goes into a simple jighead. You've got a big, heavier gauge wire hook (we're not talking 1/16oz. crappie jigs here with a #6 hook). You've go the lead itself and pouring that into a mold and hoping it comes out shaped right because of the detail that goes into some jigheads these days. On top of that, you usually have a baitkeeper that also has to come out just right as well. You've got powder or airbrushed paint. Many times, there's 2-3 tones of color that go into that bait, so even more time. You've got a big, lifelike eye on the jig. Then add in the clear coat that has to go onto that bait to keep that eye on there so it doesn't fall off after 1-2 fish or the first dock you hit with it. On top of all that, the manufacturer has to make a little money. The tackle shop you buy it from has to make a little money as well. So yes, you might be paying $2 a head for a jig. But I honestly would be surprised if the manufacturer only made 25 cents selling it to the tackle shop, and the tackle shop itself probably only made 25 cents per head selling it to you. Long story short, I have no problem paying $2 a head for a quality swimbait jighead. Many of them are a much higher quality than I could make myself.
  21. Glad you're playing again. We're up to 42 members so far!
  22. That hook is beastly!
  23. Someone spent a good chunk of coin. Nice haul!!
  24. 9 days until this season kicks off. Now is the time to seriously start researching and making those picks.
  25. I haven't followed MLF at all since it was introduced. It's a shame because there's some absolute sticks in that league, but the Bass Elites are so much easier to follow along and keep up with.
